- Hanoi Opera House - 07:30 - 08:00 The guide will collect guests from hotels in the Hanoi Old Quarter. The journey begins with a 110km drive in a comfortable limousine through lush landscapes, with a stop for rest along the way. For those staying outside the Old Quarter, please arrive at the meeting point - Hanoi Opera House by 7:50 am to join the tour group (note that the Hanoi Opera House is solely a pickup point and not included in the tour itinerary).
- Hoa Lu Temples of the Dinh & Le Dynasties - 10:30 Explore the ancient Citadel of Hoa Lu, featuring the King Dinh Temple from the 10th Century. This former capital offers numerous historical sites, including temples dedicated to the Emperors and royalty who ruled over 1000 years ago. Hoa Lu still preserves remnants of the ancient fortress built by the Dinh dynasty over a millennium ago. The Imperial palace, buried 3 meters underground, is a fascinating site to visit. The tour continues with a 30-minute bike ride through a rural village to experience local life. Please note, this biking activity is complimentary and designed to showcase the serene rural landscapes, not as a professional biking tour. If biking is not preferred, guests can opt to walk around, take photos, or relax at the restaurant while others cycle.
- Ninh Binh Mountain Side Homestay & Cafe - 12:30 Enjoy a buffet lunch at the restaurant featuring a variety of local dishes such as goat meat, fried rice, and rice crackers, with vegetarian options also available.
- Tam Coc - 13:30 Post-lunch, the group will proceed to Tam Coc. Here, guests will embark on a sampan boat trip, rowed by locals, along the Ngo Dong River. This journey offers breathtaking views of Karst hills, rice fields, and tranquil villages, passing through “Hang Ca” (First Grotto), “Hang Hai” (Second Grotto), and “Hang Ba” (Third Grotto). This boat trip promises to create lasting memories.
- Mua Caves - 16:00 Arrive at Mua Cave and embark on an exhilarating hike to the top of Ngoa Long Mountain (also known as the Lying Dragon Mountain) to witness the stunning rice valley and natural vistas. Although the cave itself (meaning ‘Cave of Dance’) may not be particularly impressive, the panoramic views from the summit are remarkable. A stone staircase near the cave entrance winds through the karst landscape (watch out for goat droppings) and leads to a simple altar to Quan Am (the Goddess of Mercy) after nearly 500 steps. From the top, look west to see the Ngo Dong River meandering through Tam Coc. The climb is paved but steep in parts, so bring water and allow an hour for the round trip. Afterwards, return to the bus for the journey back to Hanoi.
- Hanoi Opera House - 19:30 Guests will be dropped off at their hotels in the Hanoi Old Quarter or at the meeting point (Hanoi Opera House), marking the end of the tour.

A charming and peaceful trip - Our day trip to Ninh Binh was packed with highlights! We soaked in the rich history of Hoa Lu, took a boat trip along the peaceful river of Tam Coc and cycled through the vibrant landscapes. The panoramic view of Mua Cave at sunset was a dream come true. The peaceful nature (unfortunately we had a little rain but it was ok okay) was just perfect.

Visit Ninh Binh in 1 day - We explored Ninh Binh boat and bicycle. The peaceful Tam Coc River and the majestic Mua Caves offered us stunning views, while the ancient architecture of Hoa Lu took us back in time. Cycling around the peaceful countryside completed our perfect day. The vehicle moved comfortably, the tour guide was very professional, the trip was very well organized. Ninh Binh, a must-see for nature lovers
