In the 9th century, Hoa Lu was the ancient capital of Dai Co Viet (now known as Vietnam) during the reign of the Din and the initial Le dynasty. It is proudly situated in Ninh Binh province which is renowned for its national heroes. Under the reign of Ding Tien Hoang, this was where the foundation of Vietnam’s capital was laid in the years from 968 to 1010. After embarking on a journey to Hoa Lu, your tour guide will take you to Tam Coc, a place lovingly referred to by tourists as ‘Halong bay on land’. This particular spot was famously featured in the well-known Hollywood film, ‘Kong Skull Island’.
