- Vatnajokull Glacier - You want to hike further into the glacier than most of the other tours do. You are hoping to get close to the ice fall of Falljökull, outlet glacier of Vatnajökull (the largest glacier in Europe). You wish to have a breathtaking view on the crevasses. This is tour is made for you than! We will drive you all the way to the glacier, teach you how to put on crampons and how to use an ice axe and then we will guide you through the labyrint of crevasses, moulins and water streams of the glacier. We are not gonna rush our way to the ice fall, so you will have time to get used to walking on crampons. We will do many stops on the way to explain all about how glaciers are formed, about their history and also a little bit about the area of Skaftafell and Örævi. Of course the guide will assist you with taking many photos from this adventure.

Skaftafell Terminal Tour Center is OUTSIDE of the National Park.
Please arrive 10 minute prior to starting time.

Incredible Experience! - We lucked out by getting a small group of three for our tour, which was awesome. Our guide, Ásta, was so energetic, personable, and fun to go out with. This was a one in a lifetime experience that I definitely recommend to anyone visiting Iceland!

Great glacier tour! - We did the glacier adventure of 4.5 hours. The tour was amazing and the views were spectacular! Our guide Katharina was very nice and took pictures of our group which was fun. Definitely recommend it.

Our guide Javier was just... - Our guide Javier was just amazing!!! He had so much knowledge and taught us a lot! This was the highlight of our trip and I am so excited that we had amazing weather too! It is definitely worth it to ride up close to the glacier instead of spending time hiking in. We were able to spend a lot of time actually on the glacier!

A genuine highlight! - This was one of the highlights of our holiday: it was truly spectacular! Our guide, Javi, was brilliant from start to finish, showing us amazing parts of the glacier and pacing the trip so we were all comfortable. He also gave me some great tips on the best photo opportunities and was patient as I took loads of shots. The hike wasn't too demanding and we always felt safe. It was a fantastic experience and we feel very lucky to have seen this beautiful place. Highly, highly recommended...

Highly recommended ice trekking tour! - Great tour with Kate! She was a knowledgeable and friendly guide. We had wonderful weather and a group of four, which was perfect. Highly recommend this small group tour if you are wanting to get up close with a glacier!

Great day out! A must do - Amazing day out and well worth doing.
Guide Yan was was great and took time to ensure everyone was comfortable and confident on the ice.
Smaller group was ideal and allowed space for everyone to enjoy the glacier.

Highlight of our trip! - I would absolutely recommend Melrakki. We had a fantastic glacier hike with them and our guide, Javi, was fantastic. We learned a ton about the glacier and saw some incredible sites, and felt so safe. Javi took the time to figure out what would make the best trip for us. We saw a bunch of other people out there, but within just a bit he had us hiking in places where we lost all the crowds. It was incredible. I simply cannot recommend them enough.
