- Falljökull - If you have never seen a glacier before and you would like to experience these stunning ice giants a little bit closer, come to the breathtaking area of Skaftafell. Skaftafell is located in Vatnajökull national park, the filming location of movies like Batman Begins, Interstellar and the Game of Thrones series. To maximize the time spent on ice, we drive all the way to the terminus of Falljökull glacier in our 4×4 truck. Before you step on to the ice you will learn the proper way to put on and use the provided glacier gear. We aim to spend around one and a half hour on the ice, exploring moulins, crevasses and more other-wordly formations. Along the way your guide will share ineresting facts about these formations and the origins of the glacier as well as interesting local stories.

Fantastic experience - Kate was a fantastic guide. We really enjoyed being in a small group of 8 compared to the other groups we saw when we were leaving. I felt safe, learned lots and had fun.

Best time so far in Iceland. Ask for Ashta - This experience was so incredible! Our guide Ashta (sp? she told us think of pasta) was so knowledgeable and enjoyable, she made the journey across the glacier engaging she kept us entertained and engaged the entire journey.
Ashta had many analogies about the glaciers and ironically all about food, but were spot on for understanding how glaciers were formed and shift over time.

Wonderful Glacier Hike 10/10 - Asta is a phenomal guide. She is so personable and shared so much knowledge about the glacier & its history. We saw so many great things like glacier trolls, glacier roses, and moulines, not to mention the spectacular views of the ice falls and crevasses. Melrakki is one of the smaller outfits on the glacier and it truly felt like a private tour. Cannot recommend more highly.

Excellent customer service! - Our tour guide, Loren was excellent! He is clearly passionate about Iceland, glacier hiking and teaching. He took into account our hiking levels (with two other guests) and created/customized the perfect glacier hiking experience. Top notch professional!

One of a kind experience - We had a great time in a small group, lead by Javi. It was not only stunning, but also very informative. Javi took us off the beaten path to show us a place where no one else goes. Slightly adventurous, but managable.

Enjoyable experience! - The glacier hike was well organized without any delays or hiccups. Our tour guide Javi was funny and very knowledgeable - not just about the glacier but Iceland in general and he had useful tips for other attractions in the area. Also, he is an excellent photographer and can take breathtaking pictures for you. We felt that we were in safe hands.
