Don’t miss this one! - Greg was the ultimate tour guide- super helpful and friendly, and gave lots of great facts & tips. I rode all the way to the top, then hopped off on the way down at The Chalet, walked down to The Springs where I stopped for a coffee & biscuit at the lost freight, before continuing by foot to Fern Tree Park where I hopped on the next bus back to Hobart. The views were spectacular from the top of Mt Wellington once the clouds cleared, rug up because it is icy cold!! The walk down was reasonably challenging, had to watch my footing, brilliant views though, I made really great time, only taking 1.5 hours from the Chalet to Fern Tree Park including the stop.

Tony The Driver v Queenslander 20/08/25 - Absolutely brilliant trip. Our driver Tony ( as this is a good review so not Jack) was just fantastic. Not just the really bad dad jokes (right up my alley) but his thorough knowledge and explanation of where we were and what we were looking at was really superb (this bloke needs a pay rise and soon for his expertise alone). Above all this he was an excellent driver. Again ,just fantastic all round.

Fantastic tour guide and coordination - Tony, our tour guide, was fantastic - he gave us interesting information about Hobart/Mt Wellington all the way up to the summit and coordinated amazingly with the other driver/guide when we departed his bus to walk down a section of the mountain. Definitely recommend booking onto a tour.

Rainy Day Trip - We unfortunately had a very rainy day and we were really disappointed leading up to the trip BUT our driver Greg made the whole trip to Mt Wellington/kunanyi amazing! It was so informative and Greg provided a really wonderful experience. We will definitely do the trip again (hopefully with better weather)! A massive thank you to Greg for turning what we thought was going to be a miserable bus ride in the rain into an unforgettable experience!

Fun, convenient and breathtaking! - We had the perfect weather to see the most amazing sceneries from the peak of Mt Wellington! Bus driver was entertaining and loved the fun facts about Hobart, Mt Wellington and everything in between the bus ride! Make sure to rug up and prepare for the weather though- it was about -1 deg when we got up even though it was a good 8-10 deg in the city! Good tour if you are looking for a relaxed sightseeing with family and/or a large group!

Great setup, by far the best way to go up top without your own car. - Quick, efficient bus to the top ot the mountain (they can even go when the road is closed due to snow). The hop on hop off design is great because you can create your own itinerary. We went to the top first of all, then jumped off at the bottom for an hours bushwalking and caught the next bus back to town. The driver also gives you some interesting commentary on the way up. Clean, safe, pricey but quality set up.

Stunning views of Tasmania, entertaining guide, comfy bus - This tour is weather dependent. We were graced with crisp, clear skies and easy traffic. Our guide skilfully navigated around some hair-raising bends to the summit while informing the group about the history of the area and geographic features. I've been before independently and prefer this way as u find out more. Half an hr at the top is all u need I believe however u could stay longer if u wished and be picked up later. Organ pipes spectacular. The hop on hop off tour around Hobart was equally good and took us to main tour sites with flexibility of staying longer. I like the 2 day deal too for added value. Guides were hilarious. Liked the jokes.
