Bonorong wildlife Sanctuary - Very informative guides, well worth the trip. A sanctuary for injured wildlife that works hard to get them rehabilitated and released back into the wild.

Kangaroos and Wallabies Encounter - A two-part experience.
The Richmond Village driving tour gave us some ideas for more detailed exploring once the bus parked and we were allowed to walk around town.
The bus then took us to a wildlife sanctuary where we had up-close encounters with kangaroos and wallabies. We were able to see Tasmanian devils in an open environment. A handler was on-site who answered questions. Most other birds and animals were in caged facilities. It was a fantastic day with many photo opportunities.

Fun experience for all - Bonorong Wildlife Park ws a lot of fun1 We were able to see animals that we could not have seen in the wild, and approach them for a close look. A good variety of animals. A fun experience.

Fun excursion - Our driver Phil was quite entertaining and informative. The excursion was far better than our ship’s. He took the back road back so we could see a little more. Bonorong was quite special - petting all those roos. But, if you’re hoping to see a koala Burnie is your best bet I’m told. Bonorong didn’t have any.

Pies and more! - Wear comfy shoe the sanctuary is not pathed. The rescue wild life is such a good cause. Take advantage of doing a small group tour. Richmond town is quaint and nice eats. We bought beef and mushroom pies ! Wow best pies by a long shot. Richmond bakery.

Richmond gaol was interesting not much else there - Our driver Barry was good giving information of places as we traveled through.
Richmond is a quiet little village with a bridge and a gaol but not much else just a tourist trap really
Bonorong we arrived early after leaving Richmond early
Waited for the guided tour which was informative and the guide was amusing and genuine
The work they do is great
Only downside was after he finished we had literally 10 minutes to rush round feed the kangaroos and see the rest of the animals which simply wasn’t enough time could of done with atleast another half an hour

We headed off to Richmond... - We headed off to Richmond first before we drove to Bonorong Wildlife. The animals were a bit tired at that time so i did see only a few birds, and snakes. Kangaroos were ever present of course. There were no koalas, sadly.

Poor animals. Thousands of visitors who want to paint, to grieve. Some lie emozionless, some even tremble. Shame! - Poor animals. Thousands of visitors who want to paint, barrier, photograph them. Some lie emotionless, some even tremble. Shame!
Richmond ... well, little street, nothing interesting, not worth it.
