- Cu Chi Tunnels - We depart Ho Chi Chi Minh City in the morning to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, known for its role in the anti-American resistance during the Vietnam War and now seen as a symbol of heroism. With over 220 km of underground tunnels, it’s a popular tourist attraction for both Vietnamese and foreign visitors. The scenic route from Ho Chi Minh City to Cu Chi passes through the local countryside, offering sights such as ducks and buffalo along the river. Despite its tranquil appearance today, it’s hard to imagine the destruction caused by bombing and mines in the past, when Cu Chi was designated as a “free target zone.”\n- My Tho - After investigating the tunnels, we’ll head to My Tho, a province in the Mekong Delta region. We’ll embark on a boat ride along the upper Mekong and witness the Four Animal Islands named after creatures in Buddhist lore: Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Turtle. On this portion of the tour, you’ll get a glimpse of local Vietnamese life and how it is tied to the river.\n\nLater, we’ll take you on a rowboat excursion through the narrow waterways, showcasing the fertile agriculture of the delta with its fruit orchards, coconut plantations, and beekeeping farms. During the tour, you’ll have the opportunity to taste honey tea, seasonal fruits, fresh coconut candy, and enjoy southern Vietnamese folk music.\n\nFinally, we’ll return to Ho Chi Minh City and drop you off at your hotel around 6:30 PM.

Tunnels are worth the visit - We visited this site because of its historical nature. I have a friend who was a Green Beret Tunnel Rat during the war. He would never talk about it, but his friends told me of some of his deeds. I really wanted to see the tunnels he crawled through. Unfortunately, I’m too large nowadays and could barely fit through the openings. That’s even after they have enlarged them for tourists. It was hot and humid, but that didn’t bother me because I know what they used to go through 50 years ago. The tour is definitely worth it and the guide we had was excellent.
The Mekong Delta tour was OK. It was different but being from Louisiana, it was no big deal for me.

A day of memorable experiences - well worth the trip. - What an awesome second day in Vietnam! Short of time in Ho Chi Minh City we did the combined Cu Chi Tunnels and Mekong Delta in one day. Our host Hannah was fantastic. Friendly, organised, engaging, excellent communicator and naturally her knowledge was great. The Cu Chi Tunnels morning was eye opening and thought provoking. The journeys were both interesting and air conditioned. The Mekong Delta was a selection of local Vietnamese experiences with the highlight being the row boat finale down the Mekong. Even in the torrential rain it was fun. A great day that will live long in the memory.

The best Cu Chi Tour! - Our guide, Tu, was an absolute legend. Funny, knowledgeable, smart and gave fantastic insights into the tunnels. He took us to an island and gave us unique food experiences

Amazing tour - Such a great and informative tour. Tu was our tour guide and knew so much. We learnt so much from him. What was included in the tour was incredible value. Transport, entry to tunnels, boats through the Mekong, lunch, unique experiences that were not expected. Highly recommend

Hero Toan - Great way to spend our last day in Vietnam! Toan was a fantastic tour guide, knowledgeable and had a great personality. The tunnels in particular were really cool to see, and was happy to have been able to see the Mekong delta as well.

An Incredible Experience! - The tour was incredible! Toan was a very good leader and gave a lot of commentary at each of the stops about the culture of the area and how the people live.
I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Vietnam, and try and get Toan if you can!

Great one day tour - Great tour of Củ Chi tunnels and Mekong Delta river. I was worried that it could be too much for one day but it was perfect. Eddie was not only very informative but also very attentive during the whole tour making sure that we were OK. Highly recommended.
