Cat Tien Park - Madagui – Saigon 40km Cycling (B, L)
Nam Cat Tien - Enjoy breakfast at the park before starting a cycling journey through the forest to the Madagui area. In the ethnic minority language, Madagui means “The Gui river of the Mạ people.” The Mạ people are an ethnic minority belonging to the Mon-Khmer linguistic family. They currently reside in the central upstream Dong Nai river region, along a continuous strip of land by the Đạ Đơng river valley, adjacent to the Bảo Lộc plateau, the Di Linh plateau, and the red-soil southeastern area. In Vietnam, there are about 30,000 Mạ people, with over 20,000 living in Lâm Đồng province. Several Mạ villages, such as B’Kẻh village and B’Lú village, are located around Madagui Forest Resort. Enjoy lunch en route and transfer back to Saigon, concluding the tour.

The park, sprawling across a massive 71,920 hectares of lowland forest and swamp, is one of the largest and most significant National Parks in Viet Nam. It nestles in the southern region of the country and serves as a harbor for a myriad of birds and mammals. Positioned about 160 km northeast of Ho Chi Minh City, it’s approximately a 3-hour drive away. While majorly seated in the northern perimeter of the Southeastern region, Ðông Nam Bô, the park also touches the southern boundary of the Western Highlands, Tây Nguyên. The Cat Loc area within the park is a vital sanctuary for the last remaining Javan rhinoceros on the Asian mainland. Other resident mammals are native golden-cheeked gibbon, elephant, gaur and tiger. Birdwatchers are in for a treat too, with unique species like Germain’s peacock pheasant, bar-bellied pitta and the rare indigenous orange-necked partridge being spotted here.
