Visiting Daufauskie Island, learning about historic community and culture. - from beginning to end the whole trip was delightful. Our captain, BAYARD HUGGINS, was knowledgeable and nice. He engaged our inquiries with wit and interesting information. It was a great day. I would highly recommend this trip!

Always read about the... - Always read about the island and decided to do it on this vacation. It was a great trip. The only negative was on the way back on the boat it rained. It would have been nice to have some type of protection. Plastic curtains on the boat? Ponchos for each rider? $30 to buy and keep on board? There was no rain in the forecast. By the end of the boat ride it stopped raining and we were blown dry by the time we docked.

A Good Experience - This is a good 4 hour trip where you will learn a lot about the present and past of Daufuskie and Hilton Head. Good captain/guide and departing from Shelter Cove is convenient for most on the Island.

HH Frequent Visitors - We thought the boat trip was good, but I do think you should let people know that this is NOT a covered boat. Temps in the 90’s in an open boat for 1 1/2 hours each way is blistering. Several passengers were in their 80’s and they were baking. Great tour, but you really should at least give them a warning.

Cruising to history. - Enjoyed visiting the old church and school. Captain J.O. was a great guide on the island. He had a lot of local knowledge since he was raised on Daufuskie Island.
