Awesome Day in the Colombia Countryside. - I had an incredible time on this walk through the Colombian forest and experiencing Colombian culture with an excellent guide. This was a very relaxing walk through the mountainside, offering a perfect break from more strenuous hikes. You start at a farm and head up, passing mango, orange, and guava trees, with plenty of fruit to pick and eat. You travel down a road that used to be a railroad, passing through little communities. One cool spot was a family-owned woodworking business where we chatted with the owner and got their amazing woodwork being made. Halfway through, we reached the old railroad bridge and a waterfall. There was a little restaurant where we stopped to chill and soak in the awesome view. Gabriel was super flexible and knowledgeable about the area and all of Colombia. I have done a lot of trips, but this was really cool. This is not an adventure hike but one you take to relax and enjoy the beauty of Colombia with a great guide. Oh, and the restaurant we stopped at before and after had amazing coffee...get the tinto. WILL REPEAT!
