- Callander - The first stop is in the Callander area in the Highlands for some light refreshments, with a chance to see a Highland cow, depending on the season.
- Glencoe - The journey continues through Rob Roy Country, home to Clans MacGregor and Campbell, then over the striking landscapes of Rannoch Moor and the Black Mount to Glencoe, one of Scotland’s most renowned glens, known for the 1692 massacre of the Clan MacDonald. Here, there is a photo stop to absorb the atmosphere of this haunting glen.
- Fort William - The tour proceeds via Loch Linnhe, stopping in the Fort William area for lunch, then continues into the scenic Great Glen, passing beneath Britain’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis.
- Urquhart Castle - The tour travels through the charming village of Fort Augustus before reaching Urquhart Castle, where participants can opt for a cruise and castle excursion (optional extra).
- Loch Ness - If not participating in the excursion, the tour continues to the Clansman Hotel, where there is an hour of free time before the return journey to Edinburgh. Guests can relax at the hotel or partake in the “Donald Fraser – Illicit Whisky Experience,” a 20 to 30-minute on-site experience featuring a film about the history of illicit whisky distilling, paired with a dram of the Donald Fraser blend (optional extra £12).
Alternatively, guests can explore the area, such as the Old Coffin Road Walk starting at the hotel car park. There is also an option for a one-hour round trip cruise along the loch, offering stunning views of Urquhart Castle (optional extra).
Loch Ness, 24 miles long and over 700 feet deep, is famed for sightings of the Loch Ness monster, affectionately called “Nessie.” Visitors can enjoy a delightful cruise on the loch.
- Pitlochry - The tour returns home through the Cairngorms National Park and the picturesque woodlands of Perthshire, including the Forest of Atholl, with an evening refreshment stop at the Victorian resort town of Pitlochry, before heading back to Edinburgh, where the tour concludes.

Please note: This tour is crafted to include as many of Scotland’s highlights as possible in one day! Although much of the journey is enjoyed from the comfort of the coach due to the extensive distance covered, you will be treated to stunning views and scenery throughout the trip.
