- Clava Cairns - Dare you touch the stones? We are not covered by insurance if you head back in time to 1746.
- Culloden Battlefield - Oh Jamie, oh Jamie our scottish bonnie laddie. See were the Jacobites lost the battle in April 1746
- Cawdor Castle - Visit the beautiful home of the Dowager Cawdor and its fantastic gardens.
- Loch Ness - Stop on the banks of Loch Ness and visit Nessies home lands. Might even see a famous Nessie Hunter.
- Wardlaw Mausoleum - Step back in time and visit Jamie’s ancestral burial ground.
- Robertson’s Farm Shop Beauly - How about a visit to the Hielan Coo’s. Here we visit Heather, Katie-Morag and Jamie. A visit to the farm shop for all things Coo related is a must.

Embark on an exciting journey with us, where you’ll be personally escorted around the highlands by a native highland girl, who is also a fully certified and experienced Green Badge Guide from the Scottish Tourist Guide Association.
As we head South, we’ll experience the Culloden Battlefield, Clava Cairns, Loch Ness, Wardlaw Mausoleum, and maybe even get a glimpse of Jamie Fraser if fortune favours us.
Shun the commotion of larger coach groups and explore the highlands in our convenient 16-seat minibus.
To maximise the enjoyment of your day trip, our departures kick-off at 9am.
Although some of our tours are not accessible to wheelchairs, we do our utmost to make provisions.

We require prior notification, as there are limitations on luggage space. Please inform us in advance if you plan to bring walking aids/pushchairs on any of our tours.

A trip in Invergordon not to be missed. - We had a fantastic day with Avril Tours.
Personal attention and making sure we saw and experienced all of the sights we really wanted to explore.

Ein schöner Ausflug - I was in Invergordon on the cruise ship in July. Avril picked me up from the ship and brought me back on time. Since no one but me had booked the trip, I was alone with Avril. It was a wonderful day. together we visited Culloden Battlefield, Cawdor Castle and Clava Cairns. Finally there was time to visit a small farm. Avril told many interesting things about history and the present, in a humorous way. I also got to meet her beautiful daughter. Overall, one of the most beautiful shore excursions on this tour.

Great day! - Avril was a very knowledgeable tour guide. We enjoyed Cawdor Castle and the Colloden Battlefields. Didn’t enjoy the stop at this little fleamarket/whiskey place. Loch Ness was just a lake lol. But would travel with Avril again.

A great experience - Avril's tour service was one of the highlights of our trip to Inverness. We were fortunate to visit during the off-peak season, so the tour was personalized, and Avril was training another guide. Essentially, we received an exclusive tour with two excellent guides to enjoy on our trip. We visited Culloden, Clava Cairns, the River Ness, and a Highland cow farm called Robertson's, where tourists can get close to two cows and also purchase products produced on the farm. Throughout the trip, Avril kept the atmosphere very engaging by sharing anecdotes and stories of the places, as well as her experience as a native of Inverness. Absolutely recommended.

Excellent tour - Avril was an excellent guide. She provided so many interesting facts as she drove along from spot to spot. She truly loves her homeland and her job. We were a small group and one person wasn't able to find the tour. She got a call from the port that the lady was looking for her, she actually turned around and went back for her and said "don't worry, you're not going to miss a thing" VERY CUSTOMER FOCUSED, would highly recommend her tour. Saw so much and the cost was excellent. Great day in the Highlands. This tour was actually recommended to us by a friend that had taken the tour in May. Glad they shared their "find" with us.

THE BEST PURPLE HAZE EXPERIENCE EVER ! - Yes, Avril has 'purple' hair now. But no matter as her tour was just
exceptional ! She had knowledge of everything my wife wanted to know about 'Outlander' and coordinated the sites perfectly.
I highly recommend Avril and she has the best game in town !

Avril is the best - Avril made our Outlander day so much fun! She has lived in the area her whole life and was full of fun facts. She felt like an old friend by the end of the day and even checked on us the following day. We 100% recommend this tour and will definitely use Avril’s Travels next time!

Amazing day with a local guide in the beautiful Highlands! - We did the Outlander tour with Avril…to note - mo meed to be a fan of the show to enjoy the tour! We visited beautiful Cawdor Castle, Clava Cairns, Culloden, Loch Ness and met some Highland “Coos” (cows). Avril was lovely, knowledgeable and flexible. This tour was the highlight of our trip!

Day Tour With Avril - My 18 year old son and I went on a day tour with Avril. We had the best time! Avril is funny, knowledgeable and completely flexible with out tour plans. Since we are from Canada, there was no way we could have driven on the left hand side, Avril took care of that for us! The bus was very clean and air conditioned which was a bonus!
We even went down to Loch Ness and walked in up to our ankles. No Nessie around, she is on summer holidays!
I would recommend Avril's Tour, it was great!
