• Dunrobin Castle and Gardens - Located in Sutherland, within the Highland region of Scotland, Dunrobin Castle serves as the ancestral home of the Earl of Sutherland, Chief of the Clan Sutherland. The castle’s interior is exceptionally beautiful. The museum showcases an extensive collection of animal trophy heads from family safaris, ethnographic items from around the globe, and a significant array of archaeological artifacts. The museum maintains its Victorian-Edwardian layout and is situated in an 18th-century summerhouse adjacent to the formal gardens. The gardens also feature a live falconry display twice daily.

• Dornoch Cathedral - Constructed in 1224, Dornoch Cathedral is a medieval parish church in the quaint town of Dornoch. As part of the Church of Scotland, which is Presbyterian, the church is not a bishop’s seat but retains its name due to its historical role as the seat of the Bishop of Caithness. The cathedral’s churchyard is next to Dornoch Castle, the partially restored remains of the medieval palace of the bishops of Caithness. It was originally a Catholic Cathedral.

• Loch Fleet National Nature Reserve - Loch Fleet is a shallow estuary with extensive sandflats and mudflats, bordered by saltmarsh and sand dunes. Beneath the dunes lies a bedrock of old Red Sandstone, covered by shingle ridges that stretch from the western NNR boundary to the current coastline. Rich in wildlife, it is a popular spot for observing seals basking on the sands.

• Falls of Shin - The Falls of Shin were altered to enhance salmon migration, and visitors may be fortunate enough to witness Atlantic Salmon leaping up the fast-flowing falls as they journey upstream.

• Dornoch Firth Viewpoint - This picturesque location is perfect for photography, offering expansive views of the Scottish landscape, including lochs, mountains, vegetation, wildlife, and Carbisdale Castle, a more modern yet over a century-old family castle.

• Glenmorangie Distillery - Owned by The Glenmorangie Company Ltd, the distillery’s primary product is the Glenmorangie single malt whisky range. Classified as a Highland Distillery, it features the tallest stills in Scotland. It is said that alcoholic beverages have been produced in and around Tain since the Middle Ages. Visitors can enjoy tasting some of their award-winning whiskies right from their homeland.

• Black Rock Gorge - Black Rock Gorge is a deep, narrow chasm formed by rapids laden with sediment during the great post-glacial rebound over 10,000 years ago. Its depth made it a filming location for ten days for the movie Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. It holds special significance as it is located within the family’s clan territory.
