- Urquhart Castle - The one-day Loch Ness tour from Inverness begins at 08:45, following the scenic Caledonian Canal to its source at Loch Ness. Spanning 24 miles and reaching depths of over 700 feet, this loch is the largest by volume in the British Isles and is renowned for sightings of the Loch Ness Monster, affectionately called “Nessie.” The morning is spent at Loch Ness, providing ample time for Nessie-hunting! The first stop is Urquhart Castle (optional extra), where visitors can explore the 13th-century ruins, enjoy the visitor centre, and take in the stunning views and atmosphere of Scotland’s most famous loch.
- Fort Augustus - The tour then proceeds to Fort Augustus, the furthest point of the Loch Ness tour. Here, there is an opportunity to enjoy a relaxing hour-long boat cruise (optional extra) across Loch Ness with Cruise Loch Ness. Afterward, visitors can have lunch in the quaint town, which has a population of just 650 people, making it an ideal spot to unwind and watch boats navigate the Caledonian Canal.
- The Falls of Foyers - Following lunch, the tour heads back to Inverness, stopping at the Falls of Foyers. This magnificent 165ft waterfall, a favorite retreat of poet Rabbie Burns, is truly awe-inspiring. There is ample time to enjoy the atmosphere before the tour continues to the village of Dores for a visit to Dores Beach on the eastern shores of Loch Ness.
- Dores Beach - Visitors can spend a short time strolling along the pebble-strewn shoreline before boarding the coach for the final return journey to Inverness, where the Loch Ness day tour concludes.

Inverness Outing to Loch Ness / Highlands - Really enjoyed spending the day with Alex exploring the sites around Loch Ness. His knowledge of the area, tips for getting the most out of stops, humor, and introduction to the incredible scenery of Scotland was a treat!

This was a great tour to... - This was a great tour to see all of Loch Ness. You drive completely around stopping at so many different nice places. Our tour guide Stewart was very informative and funny, very easy to talk to and answered whatever questions you had. Highly recommend doing the tour with the Loch Ness Cruise, but you need to bring 21 pounds to get tickets through the tour guide. Overall highly recommend this tour!

Great tour with perfect weather - Two optional expenditures were available on this tour. The Urquhart Castle and the Loch Ness Cruise. The cruise had to be paid in cash so our tour guides made a stop at an ATM so we could join the cruise. Overall, it was a great day around Loch Ness.

Great top hits of Isle of Skye - Booked the tour as a first day to arrive in Inverness in order to knock out a major bucket list item going to Scotland. Tour was a great price for the tour length, and being able it’ll have so many break to take pictures/take in the scenery was stunning. Alex was a great guide and being able to ask so many questions and hear his personal stories from being raised in Skye was a lovely touch. Tour was great way to spend the day and fantastic to do with families or alone. Giving the student discount was a lovely cherry on top :)

Highlands Day Trip - Our tour guide, Chris Allan, was amazing, friendly, funny, and extremely knowledgeable. However, this tour could be cut in half and made into a half day. We spent entirely too long at overlook places with not much else to do. It’s gorgeous countryside! I just felt that after the castle the places we pulled over to look at were far too long.
