Exclusive tour in Jaguar - We had an exclusive tour in the Jaguar - because we were only 2 people, the bus was not necessary. Avril (tour guide) spoke slowly so that we could follow the explanations with our rusty English skills. Tour was very nice - everything was great. Tip: Greens Restaurant in Dornoch.

Avril and Her Tour were Terrific! - Super tour guide with great alternative adventures for a day when the fog was in the there were Sunday closures. Dunrobon was a great tour with the falconry demonstration being a highlight. We had a very tasty lunch at the Courthouse in Darnoch. From talking with shipmates on the Princess busses, we got to experience much more and still had plenty of time to roam the port.

Great day touring the Invergordon area! - We had the best day touring with Avril. She made sure our small group had the best day. We visited the Dunrobin Castle ( which was great) and since we had a small group, she was able to drive us to the back of the gardens ( so we didn't have to walk) to see the falconry show. Afterwards we visited a cute little town and she gave us plenty of time to explore, then we were off to the Distillery. Throughout the day you could tell she tried to make sure everyone was having a great day and she was able to throw in a few extras by taking us along the scenic country roads. I definitely would recommend her to anyone coming to visit this area!

THE HIGHLANDS AT ITS BEST WITH AVRIL'S TRAVELS - So glad that we chose to spend our day in the port of Invergordon with Avril. Filled with knowledge, humor, and the ability to anticipate our needs at every turn, we just loved being with Avril. She took us to see the heather and gorse blooming way up to the North. We loved walking around Dornach and she knew just where to send us for Scottish pastries and meat pies. The Dunrobin Castle experience with the falconry show was wonderful. We arrived before all the crowds and walked through the castle in "calmness", a real luxury during the busy summer. Do not hesitate to book with Avril. You will be in professional hands and will learn so much about the history and life in the Highlands.

Super trip and highly recommended 👍 - The trip via Struie Hill, Dunrobin Castle, Loch Fleet, Dornoch, and visit to the distillery Glenmorangie was overall very nice and recommended. We were picked up on time at 8:40... there were a few difficulties until we met our guide Avril, but it worked out well after a short phone call to meet her 😇 Here is a little tip for all those who book the tour through Avril. You go out of the cruise terminal, on the right you have a parking space and then cross the street (it also has a traffic light) and continue straight down the small alley until you find a parking space after a few meters on the left, then you are right 😊 Now we could start the excursion. We were both alone with Avril and entertained a lot of information in English. She spoke very well and clearly, so that with our basic knowledge of English worked perfectly. After driving through smaller villages, the first stop was at Struie Hill with an impressive view of the water and nature. Afterwards we went to Dunrobin Castle, where we had 2 hours to enjoy the air show with the falcons, as well as to visit the castle. With Loch Fleet, the National Nature Park, there was another stop and also impressive scenery before the tour continued to Dornoch. In the beautiful little town of Dornoch, we also had 2 hours to look at the cathedral, as well as the small beautiful town. Dornoch is not really big, but the 2 hours we had already needed as we also wanted to eat fish and chips and visit the chocolate factory. Between the hotel and the chocolate factory it is about 5 minutes on foot and it was also worth both 😋 With the further stop at the Glenmorangie distillery (we find this not so intoxicating as it was not enough for a guided tour). Avril didn't suggest the desired stop from us, but we wanted to take a look. Now we went back to Invergordon and were back at the terminal again very punctually and all without stress and hassle. Avril adapted the tour according to our wishes. The tour we can only recommend, as everything worked perfectly! Thanks again Avril for the nice trip! 👍

Like Touring With Family - Avril was our tour guide and I can fill up this entire page complimenting her! She. Is. AMAZING! It's as if we were on a road trip with family. Such a special person. She made so many stops to make sure that she showed us what the Highlands are all about. She speaks from the heart and she an amazing tour guide. She is thoughtful, explains in detail where you are at, what you are seeing and makes excellent recommendations to make your stay in Scotland a memorable one. We even got to see Highland cows which she went out of her way to do to make some of us happy. Dunrobin Castle was excellent and Avril gave us exact meeting times and appropriate time to visit. Dornoch was also beautiful with enough time to look around. Overall, it was an amazing trip full of surprises. Our group of 7 could not have been happier. EXCELLENT CHOICE!

Great experience with a fun tour guide. - Rainbow umbrella, purple hair, hot pink boots. All indicators that I was about to have a good tour and I am glad to say I was not disappointed. Avril made the trip interesting and fun with her commentary and cheerful attitude. She made sure we got to our locations on time and gave us pointers on avoiding crowds. The van was nice and clean with space above to put our backpacks. I thoroughly enjoyed our tour today. Maybe she had me under a spell because I swear all she needs is a puffy gown and a wand and she'd be a dead ringer for the fairy godmother from Shrek. Spell or not, I had a great time and she even let me take a picture with her sidekick, a highland cow (stuffed animal of course) that rides shotgun on the tours, thanks Avril!
