Best Hoi An Experience! Farm and Cook, Learn and Eat! - The Water Wheel Real Hoi An Tour was a wonderful experience for my family. We learned so much from the local market to fishing to farming to cooking. The kids loved it and our guide Vi was kind and sweet. Making rice paper and cooking the best tasting most crispy bánh xéo we had in all of Vietnam was so memorable. All the dishes for lunch were fresh and better than restaurant food. I’m still dreaming of the bright green fields and all the fresh herbs. Best experience in Hoi An!

A utterly delightful, tasty & charming cookery class & tour - What a fabulous experience we had with Traque yesterday we met our delightful host Xuan who took us to a local busy food market . xuan had great language skills & a great sense of humour ! Then we cycled to the vegetable village where the charming Waterwheel resteraunt gave us a walk around the land , fascinating ! The cookery class was great fun, very informative & delicious better than resteraunt food & the whole experience was authentic , independent & utterly rememberable! We even were given gifts as well as a full stomach at the end! A women’s co-operative which needs support!!! Thanks 🤩

Waterwheel best full farm experience - This was our second time doing this tour with WaterWheel. It was as good as the last one.
Our guide was Vi to the market picking up fresh ingredients from the local market
and Thuong showed us the art making of noodles and rice paper rolls.
We will be back. Go with the best.
Food was organic and fresh.
Boat ride was fun.
Buffalo ride was cool.

Don't miss this cooking class if you're near Da Nang! - Our trip to Vietnam had many highlights but this was probably the best of all. Trang was our guide in the cooking class and in showing us around the herb gardens. She was extraordinary: warm, knowledgeable and so much fun - a real star. We feel privileged to have had the chance to get to know her and to learn from her.

Fantastic hands on experience - This half day tour run by Tra Que Water Wheel vegetable farm is a fantastic hands on experience, perfect for families! Our guide, Trang was so informative and brilliant with the kids full of fun and humour. We learned about and got to experience traditional farming practices and food preparation including riding in basket boats, collecting small fish from fish traps, sampling herbs from the vegetable gardens, planting herbs with farmers, grinding rice flour and making rice paper from scratch, cooking crispy pancakes and rice paper rolls and enjoying the most delicious lunch with plates and plates of yummy dishes. Just a brilliant experience. Highly recommend.

A family experience not to be missed - An absolutely delightful day experiencing all that life in a village farm has to offer… learning how to prepare the sole , planting herbs, riding in a coconut boat to collect fish , cooking lunch and then enjoying an amazing meal and finishing off with a foot massage

Unexpected delight, - A fab time with Han & family. The markets were very I formative and interesting. The boat ride was so much fun. The class was fantastic. An authentic environment and so well organised. We had lots of laughs thanks to Han who kept us entertained as well as educated. I would highly recommend doing the boating and the cooking class

Mrs Sun is amazing - We enjoyed it tremendously! Our guide Mrs Sun was really great, we learned so much from her and laughed a lot! She's a real winner. Kids (5 and 7) also really liked it (especially the market) and tasty. The location is nice and the local market you wouldn't normally come to, very nice to see. Thank you very much Sun!

Highly recommended - I cannot recommend this cooking/farming experience with Xim (Spring) enough! From start to finish, it was a truly enriching and enjoyable experience. We had the chance to make traditional Vietnamese dishes like rice water, rice pancakes, crispy pancakes with beansprouts, and spring rolls. It was hands-on, fun, and delicious!
What made it even more special was the opportunity to learn about the local herbs and spices grown organically on the farm. The insight into sustainable farming practices and the variety of aromatic herbs added so much depth to the experience.
Xim’s warm and cheerful demeanor, along with the happy and welcoming nature of the Vietnamese people, made the day even more delightful. Their hospitality and enthusiasm were truly heartwarming.
If you’re looking for an authentic and interactive cultural experience, this excursion is an absolute must!
