- Tra Nhieu Fishing Village - Tra Nhieu village is often compared to a charming, modest country girl in Quang Nam. From a distance, Tra Nhieu resembles a wild, untouched vineyard. However, the village roads are beautifully shaded by lush green bamboo, and the quaint little houses are nestled under tall areca trees. This makes it an ideal tourist destination in Hoi An, Quang Nam, drawing more and more visitors each day.
The first thing that strikes visitors upon arriving in Tra Nhieu is the lush green coconut flower carpet, resembling a wall that protects the main village. The Tra Nhieu coconut forest spans about 10 hectares, interspersed with turtles, giving the area the feel of a miniature river region of the West. Visitors to Tra Nhieu village can enjoy a delightful experience by rowing a boat to take in the fresh natural surroundings, with schools of fish swimming below and rows of coconut trees, birds, and storks nesting above. Alternatively, they can relax on the small paths or cross the bamboo bridge through the coconut forest to enjoy the fresh, cool air.
- Kim Bong Carpentry Village - Kim Bong carpentry village began specializing in carpentry in the 16th century and experienced significant growth during the bustling trade era of Hoi An port. During this time, Hoi An engaged in extensive exchanges with foreign countries, “absorbing” various carpentry styles, which laid the foundation for the unique character of Kim Bong carpentry in Hoi An.
By the 18th century, the village had developed three distinct occupational groups: construction carpentry, boat building carpentry, and civil carpentry. Additionally, the crafts of masonry, painting, and carving mascots also contributed to the village’s widespread reputation.
