A Must-Do Experience! - Our afternoon with John exploring the Hoi An countryside was nothing short of amazing! From the moment he picked us up, his warmth, professionalism, and enthusiasm made the experience unforgettable.
John is an incredibly thoughtful and knowledgeable guide. He speaks excellent English, making it easy to learn about the rich culture and traditions of the area. At every stop—the Pottery Village, Noodle Family, Coffee Factory, Basket Boat Village, and Buffalo Riding—he shared fascinating insights, answered all our questions, and made sure we truly connected with the locals.
Beyond being educational, the tour was so much fun! We laughed while paddling in basket boats, enjoyed hands-on experiences with local artisans, and even rode a buffalo through the fields—something we never expected to do! The day ended perfectly with a delicious local meal, carefully chosen to give us an authentic taste of Hoi An.
John’s attention to detail, kindness, and passion for his work made this tour stand out. Everything was well-organized, from the motorbike transport to the bottled water and entrance tickets—he truly takes care of everything.
If you’re looking for an engaging, fun, and insightful tour led by an outstanding guide, John is the one to book with! This was the highlight of our trip.

Book en tur hos John - My mom and I were on a trip with John today and that was the highlight of the week. He is good at explaining about the places and things we saw on our way. He took us out to several pearls, in terms of the locals, various villages, eating and coffee places. You can safely book a trip with him.

Hoi An with a passionate local - John was a fun, knowledgeable, passionate and personable tour guide who went out of his way to tailor our tours to our needs. We learned lots of local history of his home town and enjoyed the many experiences he arranged. Would highly recommend him.

John Lee the legend - John Lee tours was the best. John Lee is such a fantastic tour guide with incredible local knowledge, personality and provided us with such a fun and memorable experience. He totally goes out of his way to make you feel happy and welcome.
He catered the tour to suit my wife and my own personal wish list. We started in a private car and ended up on the back of his and another guide's motorbike cruising the streets. All very safe in their hands. If you’re a food lover you are going to love it. He took us to the places the locals eat in the outer regions. The food was amazing ! We went to Marble mountain and Cocunut village and loved the party atmosphere basket boat riding. We rode buffalo, made some pottery, visited the local marble factory, sampled the various Vietnamese coffee, visited local vegetable gardens and met local families at their places of work etc plus plenty more We will undoubtedly be recommending him to our Australian 🇦🇺 friends, he’s got a fantastic sense of humour to make your day.

The best local guide to Hoi An 10/10 - I visited Hoi A with my two sons 7 and 9. We met John as a guide allocated by a tour company. John speaks excellent English and is a very happy and friendly guide who had so much local knowledge that he loved sharing with us. John was so kind and fun with my sons which made our tours with him so pleasant and easy. John is a true Hoi A local and will help you to arrange just about anything. He is always happy to join in any activity and I cannot say enough good things about how John’s support made our trip truly unforgettable it would not have been the same without him. We enjoyed our day out with John so much that my children begged to do a second tour with John when he took us to his hidden gems. I felt that we really met some locals and gained a realistic insight to life in the villages around Hoi An. The people John introduced us to and his relaxed approaches made our day so fulfilling. I really cannot recommend John highly enough as a local Hoi An guide. You will have a great time with John.

A great way to see Hoi An - John put together a version of this tour for my family. We went to the pottery village, rode a water buffalo and went on the coconut boats. It was a great afternoon. John was knowledgeable, great with the kids and grew up in the area so knows everyone. We very much enjoyed our afternoon.

Authentic Coutryside Tour - This countryside tour was off the beaten track and very authentic! We enjoyed it not being full of tourists and feeling like we were able to participate freely! John made the experience very enjoyable and we would recommend this tour to everyone!
