Great authentic farm, market and cooking experience - A wonderful experience. We were taken to an organic farm in Hoi An’s outskirts where we had a short but interesting look at farm life. We then went to the market where we picked up the fresh ingredients for our class and after a cafe stop for traditional iced Vietnamese coffee, we headed to Jolies home for the class We made four dishes all fresh an delicious. the class was lots of fun and the hosts Rosie was a great teacher and very enthusiastic. We finished off with some tropical fruits we had bought int the morning. Overall an authentic experience not to be missed. Highly recommend it!

Book and relish on the memories forever - What a day of fun we had with Hannah at the Jolie farming, market, lateen making, coffee cooking day for fun!!! We started the day with an incredible experience with Ut at her house in Hoi An where she showed us what her daily routine is from morning to evening… she was so sweet and just blew us away that at the young age of 81 she is so incredibly active.. her garden was to perfection and meticulous… Then off to the markets to buy some goods to help prepare our four courses… this was so interesting and Hannah was able to explain the different foods.. At this stage it was a delightful coffee then off to get our hands working and cooking up a storm with the ladies and creating some of the most delicious meals I’ve had… they are so simple we will be sure to make them again at home over and over… After this, bellies full and happy as a bumble bee we buzzed off to make our very own lanterns… this was a test of patience, precision and grace when they made it look better then we did hahahaha Memories on overload and grateful for the day we spent learning and creating.. This is a must do if you want to experience some culturally fun experiences…

Best day in Vietnam! - We absolutely loved this tour. We started off in Hoi An seeing the traditional ways that farmers work today, we met a lovely lady who we were introduced to as “Grandmother” she was so happy to show us what she does and had fun laughing with and at us! We then headed to the market to pick up some produce, Rosie showed us how we can tell the best kind of food to pick up, what to look for and the custom for exchanging money fanned out and with both hands to show respect. We then went a grabbed some coffee/juice in a local coffee house and chatted for a while before making our way to Jolie House. We had a lot of fun learning the different dishes we’d be making, trying them all out and having fun with them. They were so good with our son who is 11 and he had lots of fun too. The whole family were happy and lively, they welcomed us in like we were old friends. The food was fantastic and they catered for allergies and food preferences. We had 6 people in our group in total and we all had fun getting to know each other. We then headed out to the lantern making, where we chose our material and decorated a traditional Vietnamese shaped lantern. (Perfect for travellers as it collapses down) Rosie our guide was amazing and made us all feel very comfortable and happy. This was our favourite day in Vietnam so far. I can’t thank Rosie and her family enough! Ps Mimi and Hannah you were so sweet and kind too, thank you for having fun singing with us!
