Guests will enjoy “Bò Lá Lót,” followed by “White Rose” dumplings and Fried Wontons, a street food specialty in Hoi An, and will learn how to make them.
- Hoi An - Returning to the scooter, the tour proceeds to a local area to savor “Sizzling rice pancakes.” Guests will indulge in a Vietnamese Barbecue and try the ‘Wrap And Roll’ style of eating, followed by “Quang Noodles,” a popular dish in Hoi An. The experience continues with a must-try dish in Hoi An: Banh Mi. The drivers take guests along the riverbanks, through winding back alleys, and to Hoi An’s old town for a walk and photo opportunities with colorful lanterns. Not your average kinda guide… has intimate knowledge of Hoi An - John suggested showing me around his hometown of Hoi An and I’m so glad I said yes. As a local, John has a deep connection with the area and its people. Everywhere we went, it was clear how much he is respected and appreciated by the local community. This not only gave me a unique perspective on the town but also meant we were treated to extra-special service at every stop.

Hoi An Lantern Festival and Old town tour - I CANNOT RAVE ABOUT HOI AN ENOUGH! it was soooo prettyy!! 😍 I went solo on 1st day of Lunar calendar and booked John’s tour around town that ended with boat ride in the river and lantern releasing activity. It was so mesmerizing. We ate local food at Hoi An. John is kind, patient, and polite. He speaks very good English and he is very knowledgeable of the town. It’s like hanging out with an interesting and intelligent friend. Amazing tour.

Special Tour Guide - We met John on our first night in Hoi An. He was a very enthusiastic tour guide and took us to some really authentic places which were really well priced and delicious! It was a lovely start to our time in Vietnam and his local knowledge of the area was also a benefit to us. He even educated us on the growing of rice in the local area too!! You will definitely NOT be disappointed if you choose John as your tour guide!

The best private local food tour - I strongly recommend this tour. It is personalised and allows you to sample authentic food which is local to Hoi An. In most cases we visited the original premises where the food is made.
John is a terrific guide. His local knowledge and enthusiasm are wonderful

Came for food, left with a friend - My family booked with John and it was well worth it. While the tour is wonderful, it’s John who really adds the value. He’s native to this city and is really knowledgeable plus charismatic! Definitely a friend for life

Deans and Sweens in Hoi An - This tour was amazing our guide JOHN was awesome the tour included amazing food and sights John is very knowledgeable about area he was very funny and loved to learn Australia slang would highly recommend this tour ! Once again the food he had for was YUM YUM 😋 Thanks for great memories John. I forgot make sure do lanterns
