Great experience, do it! - Fantastic experience with an excellent guide. A nice meander through coconut trees before the more active part where you can get into a spinning boat. Guide also took me to see crabs and had me try and sail the boat! Fun experience and highly appreciated.

Awesome fun on the river spinning - Lots of fun and our rower was super helpful with pics and made our experience lot of fun. He made our boat spin for some added dizzy spoils! Definitely worth it!

Great fun - Great experience. Very well organised. Paid extra to get spun round fast. Highly recommend. Pick up from hotel and then dropped off in the old town. Staff very accommodating.

Great value and well organised - We booked at 11pm the night before and the response to pick up time was almost immediate. The trip included hotel pick up and drop off, coconut basket boat, and a cooking class. Probably one of the best trips I’ve ever done. Very well organised, I would highly recommend!

A fun ride - This trip was pretty cool if your coming from the old town and are happy to ride a motorbike it’s definetly cheaper to get a grab there and back but the sign for green coconut tours is at the back of the structure so you might have to look a little hard . The dancing boats are pretty cool to watch and the who was paddelinv the boat I was on was really upbeat and enthusiastic . I got a slightly slower spin around in the boat - I was not expecting this and honestly it made me feel a little Ill but was a fun experinace none the less . Also got to see and hold a little tiny crab and try paddelinv the boat which is a hell of a lot harder than it looked I kept spinning us round in circles

A bit too commercial - The Basket boat tour was good albeit extremely commercial, there are parts of the journey where you can relax and get to feel lost among the palm groves. You then turn a corner and met with hundreds of other basket boat customers with load music blasting, tricks being performed and all the calmness and fishing history disappears and it becomes a cash grab.

Absolutely not exciting - This boat ride is perhaps the only traction of this poor area of Vietnam. It is a very commercial thing, basically it is a ride among some coconut plants and in the middle of the ride some local guy performs stunts on their boats. If you have better things to do avoid this excursion

Charged more than double the price that was advertised at trip advisor - We caught a taxi from our hotel to Hio An and on the way to Hio An from the Stella Hotel where we were staying, the driver recommended that we visit the coconut boat and do a cruise as it will be so much fun!! He even showed us a you tube video of the activity, so we decided to go as we thought it would be fun! Little we knew that the operators at the reception were not very honest and thieves; as soon as we arrived a lady ran up to us and asked us to sit on the green chairs and then pulled out her phone and told us that the 40 Minutes cruise will be 750,000.00VND and so that’s 1,500,000.00VND!!! Which is equivalent to 89.72AUD for the both of us!!! At first we thought that this price was very high! But we end up doing the activity despite the little VND cash we had left on us!! After looking on trip advisor to find the price for the both of us would have been approximately $30AUD if we book the same cruise through them!! Which is more than double the price Very disappointing how locals seem to take advantage of tourists!! I will be warning all my friends and relatives back home not to visit Vietnam!! I will even share my experience on social and through my Company client data base. Very disappointed

Terrible cocnut boat trip - Terrible tourist trap. We paid too much for the trip, as we as a family of 4 had to have 2 boats. * there must be max 3 in a boat) There was noise, noise from really bad music and bass from several places, and several tourist traps, where you could, for example, tip to see a standing boring fisherman throw his nets in the water. Was definitely not worth the trip. There was nothing authentic over the place, apart from the water they sailed in, but it was totally overwhelmed. It could otherwise be nice if you could sail elsewhere in the boat.
