Bamboo Basket Boat Experience Tour - This trip to Vietnam has several different experiences. And one of them is to go to a place near Xi'an, called Cẩm Thanh. Cẩm Thanh, is a small fishing village. We entered the river area on a traditional bamboo basket boat to visit their water coconut forest, as well as a series of entertainment activities provided by villagers. Of course, we have a rich lunch together. This trip, say, is an ecotourism. That day, we actually came with a heavy rain. We arrived from Hong Kong, about an hour drive away. Tour Bali takes us to a country harbor. Here, in addition to waiting for a boat, there is a small souvenir market. Before we got on the boat, we saw something attractive, plus when it was to help the local villagers, we couldn't stand it, here to shop. About 15 minutes, the tour is arranged. We jump onto this round bamboo basket boat. Joyfully, prepare to go. Everyone's bamboo basket boats are open. In the broad river path, the boatmen work in entertainment, we seem to be the same in racing boats, boat owners entertain everyone, fight fast, fight, but the boatmen are full of experience, bamboo basket boats are very stable. Even when I went to the place I thought it was the river (the sea), it was very smooth. Go to the widest riverway. We've felt a sound of a party. There is a boatman performing the grid, there is a performance singing, and there is also a showcase basket boat. And the first thing to arrange for us is a singing show. Go to the performing venue in the middle of the river, can stand on a bamboo basket boat "Singer" is definitely "good middle-aged voice". Chinese songs, English songs, all of them are loud. Not appreciating it is good, a small fee to performers, is a must. Plus, this is also their source of income. After that, we went back to the middle of the river. There was a shipowner carrying a larger bamboo basket boat. He first performed a rock in front of everyone. However, there is no one with us who has the courage to board his boat to experience it. Then we go to a waterway filled with water coconut trees. And this project is fishing. Likewise, no one in the team managed to catch anything. After everyone didn't harvest, the shipman brought us to the place where we had lunch. On the waterway island, there are private restaurants of this type. Have seen some other local tour both briefings, to experience bamboo basket boat, must pack a lunch. Yes, like us, eat only one local river/seafood meal. Some are cooking classes, where locals can interact and cook vegetables together. That day, we ate a booth of rich seafood. Each person has a meat crab, and another has a large dish, shrimp, etc. While the seafood cottage was in production, serving our villagers began to deliver snacks a portion. One of them is a Vietnamese salad volume. Our part will be accompanied by a small dish of carrot. And the wife's portion was accompanied by sauce oil. This meal is considered a fishing-style lunch, so everything is very simple, good civilian. A simple egg fried dish, seems to be added to garlic, all taste good. It's just not dry enough. Vietnamese curry chicken, the taste is good. Chicken is smooth enough, curry is also very fragranced. It is a meal accompaniment. In addition, it is a roasted bread, roasted pasta. It feels almost like the Indonesian fries, it's just a bad version. Eating this thing feels very family-style. Then came a pork meat. The taste is good, but the pork feels too fat, and the cooking method also seems too oil, not everyone likes it. Next is a clean vaporizer. The taste is absolutely sweet. And add peaches instead of traditional garlic or fan to eat more fragrance. The entrance is, more aromatic peanut oil scent and fragile peanut taste. Good. Then, the boys' seafood cottage is ready. There are shrimp, shrimp, crab, meat and mushrooms. This cage, the seafood inside is tasteful, mixed with oats, peas, crab soup is more sweet, just a bowl of soup, already a delicious food. And the main game of this meal is a person a crab. That day's crab, meat taste sweet, thick crab, enough meat, taste beautiful. It is one of the crabs we eat in Vietnam with so much crab, the best taste and the most meat. After eating, we headed to the back door next to the restaurant and boarded the big boat back to the dock next to the restaurant. The place where we play is right across the river. A happy half-day is also a very special experience. In short, the whole bamboo basket boat trip is absolutely fun. Of course, that lunch was rich enough and delicious enough to make everyone happy.

Wonderful time - Coung, our skipper worked so hard to make sure we had a great time, I was glad we did it, as I was kind of “take-it-or-leave-it” until we got there and they made us feel so comfortable. Definitely work your way through the others trying to hijack you and use these guys. I should add we paid for 45 minutes and got closer to 1 hour

Great tour… lots of fun - The coconut boat tour was great and a lot of fun! Pick up and drop off was extremely well organised and contact was made through Watsapp. The tour itself lasted around an hour and was fun with the option to pay more if you wanted to be spun and no pressure if you didn’t want to. Would definitely recommend this tour

Experience not to miss. - This is an excellent tour, a lot of operators so you do not have to stand in line waiting for long. the boat takes 3 comfortably plus the lady or man who is paddling the boat, see some of the operators skills with the boat, catch a crab (kids love this) and plenty opertunity to take or have taken photos.

Great value trip - Great tour for a great price. The tour included hotel pick up and drop off, coconut boats and the cooking class. This was my favourite activity in Vietnam. The cooking class was amazing and we had so much food to eat afterwards!! The coconut boats were really fun, our boat operator was great and took lots of photos for us along the way. Too them extra if you want to do the fast spinning boat - my daughter did this and loved it!!

Beautiful scenery, fun boats, begging guide. - We were dropped off on a grab at the coconut boats and immediately we were whipped out of the car and taken in to get the tickets - it was actually quite aggressive. We had to pay 500,000 per person and they only took cash. We were told the tour would last 40 minutes. It was 2 people to a boat and on the way out, the guide was so full of life and chat and we had fun, if you want to ‘spin’ in the boat, you need to board another boat and pay the man. There is music playing and then move on to another person who is catching fish, which was nice to see. Going through the coconuts trees and the mambo etc was really beautiful. On the way back though, our guide totally changed and started telling us that we had to tip him; which we would have done anyway, but then he said it had to be 100,000 and started applying really heavy pressure - this was while we were still on the boat on the way back. The tour lasted 20 mins max and 10 of that was us being harangued for a tip, which he would have got anyway. Left a really bad taste.
