- Lake Bovilla - We will then descend to spend some leisure time at a restaurant, where you will have the opportunity to swim. This area is situated below the dam, as swimming, littering, kayaking, or any other activities involving the lake are FORBIDDEN.
- Tirana - Finally, we will get back in the van/car and drive to Tirana for drop-off, marking the end of the tour.

- This is a genuine hike of approximately 2 km and can be very challenging in hot weather. A good level of fitness is required for the tour.
- The road to Bovilla Lake is unpaved and quite bumpy.

Fun Tour, Beautiful Scenery, Great Guide - Bris was an amazing tour guide. Funny, knowledgeable and safe. The bus ride to the trailhead was fun and the hike was great. We highly recommend this tour and ask for Bris when you book it.

Hike, fun ,laughter with Ilmi - We had an amazing experience on this trip! Our guide Ilmi was absolutely fantastic — very knowledgeable and super chilled, which made the whole journey so much more enjoyable. He had a great sense of humor that kept us laughing along the way, and he was always patient with our pace during the hike. I really appreciated that he gave us plenty of time to stop, take in the views, and just enjoy the moment without feeling rushed. It was a perfect balance of fun, learning, and relaxation. Highly recommend!

Bovilla Lake Tour with Beni - This trip was a great experience! First of all everything went smoothly (pick up in Tiranna, transport to the mountains with breaks). We would definitely recommend a guided tour as the roads are mostly just narrow dirt roads with large potholes and there is regular oncoming traffic by truck. Our guide Beni was very friendly and incidentally also told a lot about Albania in general as well as the history of the country. The lake is beautiful and in reality looks even more impressive than in the photos! The hike is quite feasible and with each metre of altitude the view becomes more beautiful. Once at the top there is a viewing platform and a small restaurant. Finally, Beni is back with the whole group to the bus and we were dropped off again in Tiranna. On request, Beni even recommended us a restaurant where we then ate very delicious dinner:)

Hidden gem in Albania - We began the trip next to our hotel where we were picked up 20 mins late (we were receiving constant arrival updates on WhatsApp!), then finally headed to the lake, but the traffic was immense.
During the trip, there was one stop for a quick grocery + toilet, then we headed for the mountains.
The road itself on the 2nd part of the trip was awful (we were also informed about this), so if you get motion sickness easily, would recommend taking some dizziness pills.
After arriving at our destination, a small hike (30-45 mins) was ahead of us. If you are fit, should not be a problem but recommend taking some hiking shoes as the rocks are super slippery in sneakers. If there is a big heat forecasted, suggest also taking an umbrella as you are exposed to the sun during most of the hike. Also, the road where you are hiking is quite dusty.
The hike itself is safe, there are some guiderails along the way but it can be a bit intimidating if you are scared of heights.
At the hike’s halfway, there is a super nice restaurant with excellent views, cold beverages, food, and a toilet.
After reaching the top, we were welcomed with a breathtaking view, and we stayed there to take pictures/videos for about 90 minutes. Note: no shop, toilet or anything can be found at the viewpoint.
Overall, our guide was super nice, the bus was comfortable, and the trip was well worth it. Can recommend!

Bovilla lake with wonderful views. Definitely worth the visit. - A beautiful part of Albania with a wonderful tour guide named Andre. He gives you a good breakdown of Albania and epitomises the values and traditions of a scarred beautiful country.
