Fun, safe and an amazing day of family fun - This was a perfect value for the price. Memo , Steven , Sami and the rest of the team made us feel like members of the family. On the snorkeling part, which was included , the team searched high and low for the perfect place to see fish. On the island they fed us fresh fruit and a fantastic lunch. All for around $100 each including the transportation from San Jose. On the way back one of the engines wasn’t working and the crew knew it would set everyone back if the boat ride took longer. One of the crew members ; I believe it was Steven hand choked the hose all the way back to Puento Arenas , around 45 mins. Talk about work ethic and dedication to the families on the boat ! Hands down a great experience.

Amazing time at Tortuga Island - Memo was a great tour guide. I personally did not do the snorkeling and stayed in the island. I enjoyed every single moment. We saw crocodiles during our departure from the dock, the island was gorgeous, the water amazing and the food delicious! If you have a day to do this tour do it! It is worth every single penny.

Overall this was a great... - Overall this was a great experience. The boat ride is fast to give maximum time on the island. They provide small bottles of water at lunch. I would recommend bringing several bottles for yourself.

Fun but a bit crazy - It was fun. The boat ride was very daredevilish and choppy. If you get see sick, definitely prepare ahead.

Underwhelming and gloomy (both the tour and Victor our tour guide) - This tour for me was sadly very underwhelming. There was a heavy downpour the night before in San Jose until the early morning and as I spoke to the guide Victor via WhatsApp to ask if I should cancel, he said “it won’t rain in the Pacific”. My weather app said it would so he was either mistaken or he didn’t want to get a cancellation. Once on the bus, we received a bagged brunch. They don’t allow you to bring outside food (or coffee in my case) in case of accidents but you can eat and drink their stuff on the bus (and I suppose have accidents with just theirs, if you’re prone to it). The island was on and off rainy and gloomy which made snorkeling unappealing due to the dark skies reflecting the water poorly. The hot food served on the island was pretty good though. They had 2 or so bars on the island and servers to help. Be sure to count your change because I was given incorrect change and had to ask them to please remedy it. You can use dollars here and you can rent lounge chairs and sun umbrellas (which helped tremendously with the rain). Bring water shoes too if you can, since there are rocks and coral on one of the nicer sections that has less sea grass. The path to the souvenir store and bathrooms was flooded due to rain so they put down sandbags as a path (the water shoes helped with not slipping here too). The wild pigs were pretty cute but they might spill your drink trying to eat the coconut shell some are served in— pretty harmless though. The ride back on boat was bumpy and bad for most. Luckily I had sunglasses and a poncho so the rain didn’t hurt when it hit my skin and eyes. I just laughed at this point because I should’ve gone with my gut and cancelled when I could. People all around me were grumpy, complaining or silent. The boat crew were pretty nice though. The drop off was a bit frustrating. I was picked up at one of their hotel stops across from a Denny’s. Maybe because I was not staying there and no one else was either, they dropped me off at a bus stop near the airport (I was at an AirBnB but this stop was offered along with other hotels to choose from). I regretted tipping Victor $20 after that. The bus driver was pretty great though. Overall, I would not go if it was gloomy or raining all day. It makes for a pretty depressing scenery. If you can book a few days before to check the weather first, I would recommend it. It didn’t sell out and the bus was huge. I went in June of 2024.

Safety first????? - The overall trip was great. Food was good, snorkelling was good. My disappointments were that our guide spent most of the time in the front of the bus behind closed doors talking loudly to the driver the whole time. Communication with the guests was very limited. Would have been nice to know how long before we got to places and the instructions were few and far between. Maybe told areas we were driving through. The bathrooms and showers before we got on the boat and after were very limited. I did not hear that there was no bathrooms on the island for our group to use. On the bus we were able to wear out seatbelts as it was over 2.5 hours to get to our destination on a very busy highway. But for the trip home the driver had zipped tied the seat belt’s together along with all the curtains so we could not use them or close the curtains. SEAT BELTS ON A MAJOR HIGHWAY IS NUMBER ONE IS SAFETY. Be prepared for a long day. We were the first stop to be picked up and last for dropped off. 4:30 am to 7:30 pm
