Lackluster and misleading - Lack of guidance at Knossos Palace: We were very disappointed to receive no information or context about the site. One of the main reasons we booked this tour was the opportunity to learn about the history of Knossos. However, we were dropped off without any explanation, and our driver even asked us if we had arranged a guide. If he was not able to guide us himself, he could have at least recommended key points of interest or provided some background. Inauthentic farm stop: The visit to the olive and wine farm felt more like a sales pitch than a cultural experience. It lacked the authenticity we expected and seemed focused on encouraging purchases rather than education or genuine interaction. Lack of information throughout the day: While the views from the mountain and the wine tasting were enjoyable, our guide offered little to no insight about the areas we visited. At the village stop, we were simply asked if we wanted to walk around. When we inquired about what there was to see, he responded that he didn’t know. The meal at the tavern was just okay, but again, no context was provided — not about the food, the location, or the village itself.
