We will discuss the menu and you can choose from the season options(vegan or not) what would you like to cook. Secondly we will visit the farm , we will feed the goats and sheeps and if its summer probably you can also milk the goats. In continue when you choose menu (vegan or not) we go to gather our organic vegetables from our orchard, you will have time to explore nature, breath fresh air, learn important information about the plant and of course live the experience cutting the fresh vegetables and fruit. When we collect our vegetables , we start to prepare our meal and cook. You will learn all the secrets of Cretan cuisine with us . (It depends from the season you can also taste and watch the production of cheese.) When the meal is ready you can enjoy it in our veranda relaxing with the amazing view. Don’t forget to wear comfortable shoes and clothes. Cooking lessons become under the shadow of the grapevine. Also the cooking lessons are the perfect family activity. Live as a local for a day.

Absolutely Wonderful Experience - A favorite experience of our week in Greece! Sevi was so knowledgeable and fun, and she and her family were so warm and welcoming. The farm was only about 20-30 minutes from Heraklion. The experience was a fun mix of learning, cooking, exploring, eating and relaxing. We had family members from 9 to 77 years old, and everyone enjoyed it!

Memorable experience - We had the best experience in this professionally taught class, and highly recommend this to all! We began by visiting the farm and seeing and feeding goats and a donkey. We collected warm, fresh eggs that were just laid by the chickens! We picked herbs to use in our meal. Our friendly and hospitable chef Sévi served us wonderful homemade appetizers, while describing the delectable choices of each portion of the meal, and selecting our favorites to prepare from the menu was tough. The time on task was both thoroughly enjoyable and perfectly timed. It was a special treat making her mom’s dessert under her tutelage. The meal was absolutely delicious, and we loved eating on the patio while enjoying the spectacular view!

Warm, friendly, delicious - Sevi and her mom were absolutely wonderful. It felt like coming over to a friends house and helping with lunch. The orchard and taverna are absolutely stunning. I would have spent my whole trip here if they would let me stay. On top of the dishes being seasonal, Sevi will provide you recipes for all the dishes they offer year round. I could not recommend this experience more!

Delicious Food with Stunning Views - We had a wonderful time at Baxes, it was our favorite activity that we did during our vacation throughout Greece. I would absolutely recommend this experience and would love to do it again when I return to Crete in the future. As a group, we were able to pick out which dishes we wanted to make - I appreciated how we were walked through each step of the process. The food and wine was delicious. The restaurant is beautiful, plus the family is very sweet and helpful in teaching you how to cook each dish. We also really enjoyed walking around the property and seeing the kitties, goats, and donkey (:

A beautiful experience, 100% Recommendation! - Sevi is a wonderful hostess. The menu suggestions are varied and the balance between even slicing, cooking and Help center is optimal. With the right group it was really familiar.
The cooked menu was extremely down-to-earth and delicious. Prior knowledge is not required.
Four hours is not too short. Time flies by.
A few personal conversations complete a great experience!

Great - We really enjoyed a cooking lesson with Sevi and her parrents. Beautiful place with nice view, farm with animals, vegitables, fruits and herbs and great food!

Love, food, donkey - If you want to learn basic traditional delicious dishes, tutored by the nicest people in Greece in a stunning Tuscony-of-Greece scenery - that is deifinitely the place. Worth every penny: you'll be loved like family and eat like one of the Baxes. Mom, dad, children and even Heracles the donkey will pour their love on you - and love is a known secret ingredient for any authentic meal - just like mama used to do.

A Must in Your Cretan Itinerary! - Incredible visit to a farm hosted by amazing people! We were greeted with snacks and drinks, taking grapes from the grapevines, before being able to meet the animals, followed by the cooking class. Highlight of our Cretan experience!

Highlight experience in Heraklion Crete - Sevi was an amazing host! Atmosphere and location is surreal and immensely peaceful! Sevi figured out how to engage our hyperactive 3 young children so well and the food was so delicious! Wonderful experience and highly recommend it! Wine was delicious and everything is home made/harvested from their farm/vegetable garden

Fabulous evening with local family - This is a not to be missed experience in Crete. Sevi our host and her parents are delightful.. We milked a goat, picked vegetables from the garden and proceeded to make a gourmet Greek dinner like none ever. You get to choose what you want to cook as well. It was a magical event. I highly recommend this tour if you have time. The venue is like Greek Tuscany. You see vineyards and olive trees everywhere.
