- Helsinki Cathedral - Since 1852, when the construction of the Helsinki Cathedral was over, this building has been imposing its beauty over the Senate Square of Helsinki, right in the middle of the city. Its facade can be seen in many photos and during all kinds of media coverage, because many events and protests take place in front of it.
- Sibelius Park - The Sibelius Monument (Finnish: Sibelius-monumentti; Swedish: Sibeliusmonumentet) by Eila Hiltunen is dedicated to the Finnish composer Jean Sibelius (1865–1957). The monument is located at the Sibelius Park.
- The Esplanadi Park - Situated in the heart of Helsinki, the Esplanade Park serves as a promenade for visitors and a place to relax for the locals. The park and the Espa Stage host many popular events, including the Marimekko Fashion Show in June and the Jazz-Espa concert series throughout July.
- Uspenskin Cathedral (Uspenskin Katedraali) - Completed in 1868 in the Katajanokka district of Helsinki, the Uspenski Cathedral is the largest orthodox church in Western Europe. With its golden cupolas and redbrick facade, the church is one of the clearest symbols of the Russian impact on Finnish history.
- Kauppatori - Located at the South Harbour at one end of the Esplanade Park, the Market Square is Helsinki’s most international and famous market. The booths here sell traditional market foods and treats, as well as handicrafts and souvenirs. There are also heated café tents where you can comfortably have a steaming hot coffee even on the coldest days in winter.
- Temppeliaukio Church - Excavated directly into solid rock, the Temppeliaukio church is situated in the heart of Helsinki, at the end of Fredrikinkatu. Because of its special architecture, the church, completed in 1969, is one of the main attractions in Helsinki.

Great way to learn about Helsinki and Finnish daily life! - Cornelia was knowledgeable, patient, and had a great sense of humor. We loved spending time with her and will contact her again on our next trip to Helsinki.

Tour guide was not photo friendly or happy - Was a decent tour until my guide seemed to be grumpy with me taking photos while on the tour. I was a little taken back by his annoyance when I would quickly video or take a picture of something he would stop talking completely and seem annoyed. I booked a private tour I wasn’t even asking him to take my picture and didn’t even take many pictures or videos because of feeling a bit judged when doing so. I actually had to let him know I didn’t like feeling I was offending him by taking pictures and that I can in-fact listen while to him speak while doing so. If I was in a group tour maybe it would of been better. All around a odd guide who made it not very enjoyable.
