Old Tallinn was beautiful - It was very nice. The ferry was very comfortable. It felt more like a cruise ship than a ferry. The staff was very friendly.

Overall very good - Good value for money, nice ship, good facilities, little crowded but enough sitting space. Wifi is only available business class, not for the regular ticket. There is a good cafetiria, gift shop and a big store that sells perfumes and clothes and chocolates.

Good day out, but be aware - The journey on the Megastar was excellent, and the ferry trip allowed for lovely nature views between Helsinki and Tallin. Actually, it would have been entirely possible to book the tickets for our journey directly, without using a middle-man. However, the process via Viator allowed us to pre-book in advance and was also very seamless. Personally we opted not to use a guide as the city is relatively small and easy to navigate, especially in Old Town. On the down side, do NOT make use of any of the drivers who allege to be taxi operators as they are not to be trusted and we were completed scammed by our driver who substantially over-charged us for the short trip into Old Town. If you are not afraid of walking, rather just walk there and back (it's about a 20 minute walk). We had not done our homework, and hence got scammed by one these drivers (did I mention he was Russian). Tallin is however a beautiful town and we thoroughly enjoyed the day.
