Our local hosts (Lokafyers) are enthusiastic about their city and keen to impart their wisdom and viewpoint. As Lokafyers aren’t full-time guides and only lead tours on occasion, they offer an authentic and personal experience, akin to a buddy showing you their city. By tour’s end, you’ll feel at ease navigating the city and confident in having all you need to maximize your visit.
- Lokafy tours provide a general overview of the city with practical information from a local’s perspective, not detailed historical facts
- In case travellers would like to include a visit to an attraction, they would need to cover the cost of entrance for themselves and also the Lokafyer (local guide)
- Tours are entirely personalized, please provide the start time, meeting place and information about you so that we can organize the tour
- This is a walking tour. We recommend wearing comfortable shoes
- Operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately
- Children below 3 years old are free of charge
- Children must be accompanied by an adult

Excellent experience - Marc was absolutely great he is very experienced! The previous day he asked about our preferences, and he prepared an excellent tour with information about the places and local things. He sent us links of restaurants and stores to visit and passed by some of them. Highly recommended.

City stay - Stayed at hotel F6. Walkable to everything. Highlights include: Allas sauna; old market; ferry and island suomenlinna; Oodi; cathedral; and many restaurants. Breakfast at F6 is excellent. You can’t lose. We stayed 3 nights. 3 or 4 would be good.

Great tour. Knowledgeable guide. - We had 2 hour tour. Was well paced. Guide very engaging. Gave us a good overview of imp sites in Helsinki and some local history. And answered all our questions. Very informative and fun!

Very friendly, went to beautiful places - Very friendly Tour-Guide. Told us lot about Finnland and Hellsinki, the culture, history, nature etc. Showed us beautiful places we would not have been to, if we were without guide. Gave us lot of recommendations for our stay

Outstanding tour of central Helsinki - Maru did an outstanding job guiding us around central Helsinki.
She picked up on our interests & wove them into the tour.

A Fantastic and Creative Private Tour! - My private tour was wonderful and exactly the type of tour I was seeking. Isabella was a knowledgable and friendly guide who took to a range of places in Helsinki including some well-known places such as the Old Market Hall and Oodi and some off the beaten path. Being May 1st, it was a lively, festive day to go walking and one place Isabella took me to was the Kaivopuisto park where all the locals were gathering to celebrate. This was a lovely experience and I'm so glad I decided to go on this tour!

Angela is amazing! - Angela was absolutely amazing. I learned so much about Helsinki, and Angela personalized the tour to my interests. I had a great time. I have recommended this experience to others already.
Considering the context of the tour, my expectations were not that the guide would have extensive knowledge of history and culture, but she absolutely did. I could not recommend this enough.

Excellent guide. The highlight of our visit to Helsinki. - Our guide was exceptional. She made our visit so much better. Her wealth of information about the country, city and local places made all of the difference for us. I would highly recommend this personal tour. Marina ( forgive me if I am spelling her name incorrectly) is a gifted tour guide and a lovely person. If we were staying longer we'd be requesting additional tours with her.
