Hvalfjörður - Enjoy the scenic drive along Whale Fjord before reaching the first stop.
Borgarnes - After a picturesque drive, the bus will take a short break in the town of Borgarnes, situated on a small peninsula.
Ytri Tunga Beach - A short drive from Borgarnes brings you to the true magic of Snæfellsnes Peninsula. Ytri Tunga is a charming farm with a nearby beach that is home to a seal colony, making it a perfect spot for animal lovers!
Budakirkja - The Búðakirkjan Black Church is considered by many to be the most beautiful church in Iceland.
Arnarstapi - A natural harbor surrounded by stunning landscapes, with beautiful rock formations along the coastline adorned with green-and-yellow moss. Here, you can stroll along the cliffs, take perfect pictures, or simply enjoy the atmosphere of this remote fishing village.
Londrangar Basalt Cliffs - Two basalt columns mark the coast here and can even be seen from the road. This is another ideal stop for animal lovers, as the cliffs are home to many bird species, filling the air with their sounds.
Djupalonssandur Beach - A gorgeous black beach located within the borders of Snæfellsjökull National Park. While walking along the black sand, you can find four large lifting stones used to measure the strength of fishermen who once lived in the area.
Snaefellsjokull National Park - To reach the northern part of the peninsula, the tour will take you around Snæfellsjökull Strato-Volcano, one of Iceland’s most powerful (though currently inactive) volcanoes, covered by a glacier cap.
Kirkjufell Mountain - Kirkjufell (Church Mountain) and its accompanying Kirkjufoss (Church Waterfall) are among the most iconic and picturesque locations in Iceland. They gained international fame after being featured in various Hollywood and TV productions, including Game of Thrones.
Borgarnes - The day ends in Borgarnes, the capital of West Iceland, located on a small peninsula in the City Fjord. Known for its Saga Exhibition and stunning views of mountains rising above the sea, it is also a perfect place to witness the Northern Lights during the season.
Silver Circle and Lava Caving
Hraunfossar - Next, you will visit the magnificent Hraunfossar, a series of waterfalls formed by rivulets streaming over a distance of about 900 meters (almost 300 feet) across the Hallmundarhraun lava field, which originated from an eruption of one of the volcanoes under the Langjökull glacier. The waterfalls pour into the Hvítá River from ledges created by less porous rock in the lava.
Barnafoss - Just a stone’s throw upstream from Hraunfossar, you will find another waterfall called Barnafoss. Its name, “the waterfall of the children,” comes from a tragic accident in a previous century. A natural stone bridge over the waterfall collapsed, causing two children from a nearby farm to fall to their deaths. The grief-stricken mother then had the bridge destroyed.
Deildartunguhver - Finally, take in the sights at Deildartunguhver, the highest-flow hot spring in Europe.
