Knowledgeable guide but pushy for payments and forces reviews - This is an honest review for Noha Mohammed. She was great over the phone when we first spoke about the tour. We asked her to provide us with a driver and herself as the guide for the West Bank and the second day for the Dendera Temple. We texted for a bit and she gave me her prices of $150 for both days and I agreed. The first day she picked us up and took us around. She took us to the Valley of kings and also gave us a few recommendations of places to visit which I highly appreciate. She recognised our interests and recommended us places that were truly fantastic over others. She informed us about the history and the significance of what we were seing. I have to say that her knowledge was nothing short of spectacular and in-depth and she answered all our questions that we had. To her credit she also knew the shortcuts of the cost of things but how to expedite the line and she was also very punctual and efficient. CONS Although the tour was great there are some serious problems that were very concerning. throughout the tour she kept talking about her fees and wanting advance payment. When we took out the money from the bank for our own expenditure for the next two days, she wanted immediate payment. Of note, I ensured her that I will pay her at the end of the day that way I have security that I will be returned home and not left behind. So for the first day I gave her $50 USD during the morning and she kept pushing and end of the day I gave another $2500 Egyptian pounds and told her remaining balance will be paid the second day. When the second day came she right away asked for the full money and said that the driver wanted it right away this is not true because she took the cash and put it in her purse and that was the end of it. This is even though she told us that the drivers were already paid in advance. Separately, the places she takes you as the "trusted" places are in fact tourist driven stores where they try to profoundly upcharge you. She gets you to believe this stuff is "real" (to her credit it is), but she aggressively pushes you to buy something there, if interested, given she will get a commission out of it. Our tour guide in Cairo told us and was honest about this. So I don't blame the hussle, but she not be taking me to places notwithstanding full well knowing that this was a sham is simply unprofessional. It would have been nice to be informed of this. The other issue which truly strikes at the heart of this is that her your style is to go through the important things to see, and then she gives you sometime at the end to explore. The problem here is she will say "how much time do you think you need" and asks this in a manner to encourage you to make it quick. So the whole dendera temple we got about 20 min. This was at every single location. Some people may like this style however, I preferred that they take us and allow us to take pictures on the way as we go. The time allotted was not enough because we as tourists have no idea how to navigate such large structures. MOST IMPORTANT The part that left the most sour taste for us was at the very last day at the 11th hour while we had just finished at the temple, she took us to the cafeteria and said she needs a "favor" and wants us to write reviews ON THIS PAGE. So she sat us down and told us to write reviews right in front of her period and she wanted screenshots of them before we post them. So I suspect the reviews you see about her may not be fully candid and are heavily influenced by her because she sits three feet away from you as you write it period and she also says we shouldn't leave until this is done. Ultimately you are forced to write reviews on two separate pages failure of which you will not be leaving. While we were walking towards the van she told me that I should be tipping the drivers heavy. I appreciate that they need to earn and I will tip them when I get there but I felt like I was a ATM machine for her. I expected her to inform me about how things go around there but I also paid handsomly to avoid these problems. Again she has a lot of knowledge and is a good guide but unless these very serious issues are addressed, I'd pick someone else.
