Cairo International Airport - Upon arriving at Cairo Airport, a Ra-Tours representative will greet you with a sign displaying your name. You will then be transported to your hotel for check-in, where you will spend the night in Cairo.
Cairo “Pyramids Tour”:
Giza Plateau - A Ra-Tours guide will accompany you to one of the ancient wonders of the world, where you will visit the remarkable three Pyramids of Kings Cheops, Chephren, and Menkaure, guarded by the iconic Sphinx statue. The Great Pyramid of King Cheops is the only remaining wonder of the ancient world. Enjoy a half-hour camel ride before heading to the Saqqara Complex, home to King Zoser’s step pyramid, the first pyramid in Egypt and the first rock-cut structure in history. Continue to Memphis, an ancient Egyptian capital until around 2,200 BC, known as a cult center for the god Ptah, the deity of creation and art. Here, you will find numerous temples and monuments dedicated to him. After the tour, you will be returned to your hotel in Cairo.
Cairo “Complete City Tour”:
The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities - Led by a Ra-Tours guide, visit the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, established in 1902, which houses over 120,000 artifacts from the ancient Egyptian and Greco-Roman periods, including the stunning collection of the golden child king Tutankhamun. Next, explore “Coptic Cairo,” where you will visit the “Hanging Church” from the 3rd Century AD, dedicated to the Virgin Mary, the Roman fortress “Babylon,” “Saint Sergius,” and the “Jewish Synagogue of Ben Ezra,” renowned for its Geniza, a storeroom discovered in the 19th century containing a treasure trove of Hebrew manuscripts. Conclude the tour at Khan el Khalili Bazaar, a major attraction in Cairo, featuring numerous souvenir shops, coffeehouses serving Arabic coffee and offering water pipes “Shisha,” and various restaurants. Afterward, you will be taken back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Fly to Luxor / Luxor “East Bank Tour”:
Temple of Karnak - You will be transferred to Cairo Airport to catch your flight to Luxor. Upon arrival, a Ra-Tours guide will escort you to visit two massive temples on the eastern bank of the Nile. The first is the Karnak Temple Complex, a vast open-air museum and the second-largest ancient religious site in the world, dedicated to the Theban triad (Gods Amon, his consort Mut, and their son Khunso). The second temple is Luxor Temple, believed to have hosted an ancient Egyptian festival, with wall scenes depicting the celebration. It is a religious temple featuring Roman columns, a Christian church, and an Islamic mosque. Then, visit the Luxor Museum. In the evening, enjoy exploring the town by carriage and stay overnight in Luxor.
Luxor “West Bank Tour”:
Valley of the Kings - After breakfast, a Ra-Tours guide will lead you to the west bank of the Nile, including the Valley of the Kings, where you will see well-preserved tombs of New Kingdom kings, including Ramses II and the child King Tutankhamun. Visit the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, known as “the Holy of Holies,” a remarkable architectural structure with three levels connected by ramps, dedicated to the worship of the supreme god Amon-Ra. Also, see the two Colossi of Memnon, massive statues representing King Amenhotep III in a seated position. Afterward, enjoy an Egyptian meal with a local family before returning to the hotel in Luxor by air-conditioned vehicle for an overnight stay.
Transfer to Aswan / Aswan Sightseeing:
Temple of Horus - In the morning, a Ra-Tours guide will escort you by air-conditioned vehicle to the beautiful city of Aswan. Along the way, visit the well-preserved Edfu Temple (dedicated to Horus) and the Kom Ombo Temples (dedicated to the falcon and crocodile gods). Upon reaching Aswan, visit the Temple of Isis at Philae, dedicated to the goddess Isis, considered the mother of Horus and the consort of Osiris. You will then be transferred to your hotel in Aswan for check-in. Later, enjoy a Felucca ride around the islands of Aswan before sunset, taking in the magnificent scenery and fresh breeze while viewing Elephantine Island. Spend the night at the hotel in Aswan.
Abu Simbel-Aswan “Felucca Ride” / Fly to Cairo:
Abu Simbel Temple Complex - In the morning, Ra-Tours will take you to the Abu Simbel temples to visit the renowned Great and Small temples of King Ramses II and his wife Queen Nefertari. The temples are spectacularly set in solid rock above the Nile River banks and are part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site “Nubian Monuments.” It is believed that the temple’s axis was designed so that on October 22 and February 22, the sun’s rays would illuminate the sanctuary’s sculptures, except for the statue of Ptah, the god of the Underworld, who remained in darkness. These dates are thought to be the king’s birthday and coronation day. Afterward, return to Aswan to visit the High Dam before being transferred to Aswan Airport or your preferred destination.
