Great small-group tour - Very friendly guide. The peak was spectacular. And we had extra time so the tour took us around town to points of interest.

Beautiful views from the top - The steep grades of the path were moderately challenging, but the view from the top was stunning and totally worth the effort. The gravel path made for an easy descent.

Great hike! - So much fun! Believe the description that it is a strenuous hike, but it's so worth it to get to the top and see the views! Our guides were great - very knowledgeable and made sure no one was getting left behind. Definitely recommend!

Himakånå - The legend of the Troll - Late in the day to review, however what a fantastic trip. The small group ended up being 4 so we went in a car and not mini bus. Our tour guide (Mateus?? Sorry if the name is wrong) could not fault his knowledge about Norway. He was entertaining and we found his knowledge on history, geology, politics and some so very interesting. The hike is hard, as very steep paths (gravel paths all the way to the top) but well worth the view when you get to the top. The story of the trolls is so lovely and he told it so well. He also walked with both couples as we walked at different paces and took some great pictures along the way of both of us. Packed lunch was most enjoyable too. On route back to the ship he gave us a little tour of Haugesund. We had the most amazing day and would highly recommend this trip.

Trolltunga Hike - highly recommend - Booked this excursion whilst on a P&O cruise. Was slightly worried about booking as I had not seen this company mentioned a lot in my research and wanted to be sure we arrived back in time at the end of the day. Was very reassured at booking and on the day felt in safe hands from the outset unlike an earlier experience in the week. We had v comfortable transportation to and from the hike in a mini bus, we all enjoyed our lunch and the views from Trolltunga were simply stunning - would highly recommend! Our guide Ernst was very informative and related well to all the ages in our party

Incredible Views! - Absolutely outstanding guides and hike. Note the hike is not long but it is very steep up a gravel path. We did not bring our 4yo or 7yo and that was the right decision given how steep the trail was. Though kids slightly older made it up at a slower pace, as did some very in shape elderly people with walking poles they brought with them. The views and pictures from the top are unrivaled. We were very lucky to have clear views for about 45 minutes at the top before a storm rolled in and completely blocked the view and rained on us all the way down—but we’ve discovered that’s just the weather in this area—can change fast but if you’re lucky enough to have a clear day at the top—this tour shouldn’t be missed.

Excellent day away from the crowds - Our cruise stopped in Haugesund and we booked this small group tour to get away from the crowds. When we stepped off the cruise ship, the Viking Adventures hut was right by the exit of the ship, we checked in and pointed in the direction of our waiting guide, Matheus. There was only one over couple who had booked this tour, so it really was a small group and therefore became a really exclusive and personal experience. The drive to the start of the hike was around 50 minutes and Matheus kept us entertained by his superb knowledge of local culture, history, geography, geology and any other subject we thought to speak about. We stopped off at a local shop to collect our packed lunch and then drove to the start of the hike to Himakana. The hike is not technical as it is a gravel path all the way, though is steep in places. The views and the experience when we reached the top were simply stunning. Unlike a previous walk to Pulpit Rock, there are not crowds of people here, just the small group that we were with. It was a peaceful and serene experience and we were able to soak in the stunning views and eat our lovely packed lunch. Matheus gave us as much time as we needed whilst being conscious of the need to get us back to the cruise ship on time. As there was such a small group, we had time after the hike for him to show us briefly some other sights of Haugesund such as the National Monument. All in all, this was an absolutely brilliant day and we got to experience a genuine slice of the area, away from the crowds. Matheus was absolutely brilliant, was so knowledgeable about the area and really wanted to showcase is home town. A highly recommended trip.
