• St. Johns Botanical Gardens & Nature Preserve - Upon meeting the guide, visitors will be informed about the garden’s history and purpose at the main reception. The guide will explain the garden’s inception beneath centuries-old oak canopies.
• St. Johns Botanical Gardens & Nature Preserve - At the next stop, the guide will introduce visitors to Palm Villa and Cactus Hills. Here, they will observe a variety of cacti, agave, and palms from around the globe.
• St. Johns Botanical Gardens & Nature Preserve - The guide will lead visitors into the prized garden, Palm Central, where they will see palms from different continents and learn about their evolution in our hemisphere.
• St. Johns Botanical Gardens & Nature Preserve - The guide will escort visitors to the stunning Tiki Key and the surrounding Blue Lagoon. Here, they can admire the towering palms and diverse fauna along the water’s edge.
• St. Johns Botanical Gardens & Nature Preserve - Keep your eyes wide open! Upon entering the nature preserve, the guide will inform visitors about the potential sighting of local wildlife and the appropriate behavior if encountered. As the walk continues through the indigenous forest, the guide will also educate visitors about native species of reptiles, amphibians, flora, and fauna, as well as the history of Deep Creek.
• St. Johns Botanical Gardens & Nature Preserve - As the tour nears its end, visitors will be guided through the rare plant nursery. Once completed, they will have the opportunity to explore the garden and gift shop independently and enjoy the picnic areas.

St. Johns Botanical Garden and Nature Preserve is North Florida’s first and only garden and nature preserve With over 400 species of palm. Our founder is well known throughout our community and has written various books and teachings on amphibians and reptiles and has been a regular contributor to the Palmateer regarding different species of palms. Over the last 20 years he has compiled a large and diverse collection of palms that have now become the core of the collection at the St Johns botanical garden, this is the largest collection of palms north of Orlando and makes the St, Johns Botanical Garden a unique place to visit. When you attend a tour at our garden, you will have several opportunities to ask questions. We also allow photographers to bring cameras along so they can take pictures along the tour and you will be given the opportunity to wonder the gardens without a guide after the tour if you would like. We also have picnic tables available for you at no additional cost.
