Spectacular - The dunes have an indescribable charm.... exciting walk barefoot. You arrive in Merzouca then proceed compulsorily with jeeps that accompany you under the dunes and from there you can proceed on foot or with the dromedary. We were in a group and spent €50 on the jeep and €30 on the dromedary. It seemed pretty expensive. I recommend to have this experience. Wear glasses x sand if the wind blows on the dunes. Beautiful photos

Camel trekking - Yeah, be a real tourist! Camel trekking in the desert, an experience without equal. If you travel with the Bedouins and their camels for several days, you get a great life experience. Comfort? Out of place, tents that want to be built up- before sunset and down- before sunrise, not a luxury, but become one with themselves. When hiking or horseback riding

Comedy walking and backpacking - The dunes of Merzouga are very close to hotels and hostels (30 min walk). The sand is clean and a beautiful ochre color. Getting lost in the middle of this succession of dunes gives you great happiness and inner peace. When you get tired and climb the camel, the view is even better and the swing transports you to a dream world. Do not miss the sunset at the top of the dunes. It’s magical! Spending the evening or the night in a furnished bivouac lit by candles is also interesting to contemplate the stars and to top it all off, Berber tagine at dinner, campfire and cheerful music. All for a really cheap price.

Amazing sunset - I still have in my mind, the view of sunset and sunrise on the dune, with the sun coloring the dunes.

Expensive experience: Sunrise in the desert - Moving around like a desert dweller, trudging next to his camel (dromedary), following a trail through the sand, feeling the sunrise, the vastness of the land ... But the "leaders" are sophisticated, they speak very good German, build relationships and sell you at the end of the max. 2-hour walk or ride (+20€ extra charge) their allegedly homemade stuff for horrendous money. Souvenirs are available in the medinas around 1/3 of their price expectations; minerals can also be fakes. For the experience sunrise in the desert, you have to get up 1⁄2 4 hours early ! The journey to the dunes of Erfoud (taxi 35 € /pers.) is long.
