- Children must be accompanied by an adult
- Swimsuits and shorts work best. Secure shoes with a heel-strap are required (tennis shoes, water shoes, or sport sandals with a heel-strap). Bare feet and flip-flops are not allowed. Don’t forget to bring a change of clothes and a towel

Great experience - Great time! Had 4 year old and 8 year old with us and it was all our first time. Guide was amazing and interacted with everyone.

Had a fantastic time.... - Had a fantastic time. Megan our guide was friendly and knowledgeable which made the experience over the top. The lower river is great for first time rafters children and seniors.

Awesome experience - It was awesome! We would definitely do the upper pigeon river now that we've experienced the lower!!! You get see beautiful views along the way.

Going to book again! - We originally booked upper pigeon but due to the recent washout on I40 we were not able to do that one. SMO staff adjusted the route though and we still had an awesome time. Guides were really fun, knowledgeable, and engaging. It was such great rafting experience and I immediately wanted to book again. Next time we are in Gatlinburg our first priority will be SMO rafting!

Great family experience - We went on the lower pigeon river with our 9 and 11 year old. TJ was our guide and was very knowledgeable and entertaining. This was our kids’ first time white water rafting so we chose the tamer lower pigeon river. We all had a great time and are ready to try faster waters on our next trip!

First Time / Best Time - Jack was an amazing guided. It was our first time. He made us feel comfortable with him. He told what to do and we did just that. God knows we didn't want to fall out of the raft. The family with us so sweet as well. Team work made the dream work.

Impressed from Texas - Shayla was awesome! We had a group of 7. The five year old was very nervous and Shayla was amazing with her! The scenery is so beautiful- looks like a scene from Virgin River. Highly recommend!

Whitewater done right - A great outfitter for families experiencing rafting for the first time. SMO has it down to a science. Great guides. Plenty of safety but not too much so you can't enjoy the trip. Beats a water park any day.

Little adventure to our Road Trip - Can’t say enough about TJ who made our trip very fun and memorable. He is very knowledgeable and has a great sense of humor which makes for a 5 star good time.
