Incredible adventure - Most amazing experience! Much more than we were expecting. So close to the elephants and being able to touch them and walk with them was incredible. All the staff were great. I will be returning to South Africa next year and definitely be doing the tour again.

One of the best tours! Very safe for solo travelers - This tour was BEYOND what I expected. The hands on interaction with the elephants and monkeys was UNREAL. However, I want to highlight my tour guide, Cosmos. He is an absolutely amazing human being. I am not usually much for conversation on tours but you would think we had known each other for years the way we talked through the whole afternoon (it ended up just being me on the tour, which was great!). I think our conversations ALMOST topped the experience with the animals. I felt very comfortable and safe through my entire journey as a solo female traveler. Don’t let the lack of reviews deter you from choosing this tour (most people are not in Johannesburg long enough to go on tours, usually they just come for safaris). I would say this entire experience has been the highlight of my trip so far and made me so glad I made the trek to South Africa

Great experience to complete our South Africa adventure - Loved this experience . Drive 90 minutes from Johannesburg. Had wonderful time walking with the elephants and interacting with them feeding them under supervision. Learned about their behavior and came away with great respect regarding their size, strength and intelligence.
Monkey sanctuary was great experience. Had the opportunity to visit the monkey forest in Bali but this was far more fun and less intimidating. Different varieties of monkeys. Loved the lemurs. All seemed gentle and friendly. Would recommend both the elephant and monkey experience highly

A once in a lifetime experience - This was an excellent experience for me. I was able to not only feed the elephants but I was able to walk with them and also learn about their anatomy. I learned that they can live up to 70 years unless they lose their molars. The tour guild was time prompt so I arrived in well enough time to do some shopping for souvenirs. Also I enjoyed the monkeys, I would say it was my best experience ever while visiting South Africa. I look forward to visiting again and I will definitely choose this tour company, Phillipians 4 Four.

Strong communication by operator made for best possible experience - Operator did excellent job communicating and was flexible regarding pick up and drop off. Guide was very punctual and safe driver. Both the elephant encounter and monkey experience were excellent!

Fantastic elephant and monkey feeding experience - The entire experience from start to finish (pickup to dropoff) was arranged beautifully and went on time. At the sanctuary we were very well taken care off by the guides and had a very immersive experience with the elephants and the monkeys. We got to feed them both and the monkeys very super playful with a couple of them jumping onto us and exploring us.
The walk with elephants and the touching of elephants trunk, tusks and feet were fantastic. I would definitely recommend this experience.

Epic Day Out! Excellent Tour Guide - What an absolutely amazing time my sister and I had on this tour. We were picked up by Brian who took us safely to the elephant and monkey sanctuary. Once there we were met by James who guided us around. He was funny and very knowledgeable about the elephants. We had the opportunity to feed and walk with the elephants as well as touch them.
The elephants looked to be in excellent condition and were very relaxed around us. However these are wild animals but we never felt unsafe as the keepers clearly knew what they were doing and had an excellent rapport with the elephants.
Then we moved on to the monkey sanctuary! What can I say 🤣 greedy, noisy, naughty and very cute. The walk through the sanctuary can be a bit challenging if you have mobility issues as I do, but it’s was so worth it. I didn’t do the rope bridges but my sister did and I can still hear the screams 🤣🤣
There is a lovely gift shop, coffee shop and picnic areas.
What a great day and I’m surprised there were not more people there. 100% recommend this trip and highly recommend Phillipians 4 Four, Brian was a brilliant tour guide and looked after us both very well indeed.

I loved it - Being able to be in an environment where these animals are treated with so compassion it's out of this world. It's educational and you can see the animals are well treated.
