Sun Island Snow Festival/Fair, Other Attractions, Ice Festival at Harbin Ice and Snow World

Harbin Snow Fair - This event is held at the same location as Sun Island. During winter, Sun Island transforms into a snow festival. After exploring the festival, guests can choose to visit other attractions not listed, by discussing with the tour guide on the morning of the tour.

Harbin Ice and Snow World - In the late afternoon, guests will visit Harbin Ice and Snow World to enjoy the Ice Festival at night. After the tour concludes, guests will be returned to their hotel.

Ice Festival Harbin - The Ice and Snow Festival is the collective name for Harbin’s winter activities. The Ice Festival takes place at Harbin Ice and Snow World, which is the same location.

Harbin Volga Manor

Volga Manor - Guests will meet again in the hotel lobby at 9:00 am to visit Harbin Volga Manor, a Russian-style theme park. The journey from Harbin city takes approximately 1.2 hours. Visitors can enjoy the natural scenery, snow landscapes, castles, and unique buildings. There are also dining options available. Volga Manor offers a relaxing escape from the bustling city. After the visit, guests will be transported back to the hotel.

Saint Sophia Cathedral, Ice Swimming Show, Harbin Ropeway, Russian Town, Stalin Park, Zhongyang Pedestrian Street

Saint Sophia Cathedral - The tour begins at 9:00 am in the hotel lobby. The first destination is St. Sophia Orthodox Cathedral, built in 1907. It was originally a Russian church and is the largest in the Far East.

Harbin Swimming Hall - After visiting the cathedral, guests will head to Jiuzhan Park to watch an ice swimming show, sponsored by the Harbin Winter Swimming Association as part of the winter ice and snow festival, showcasing local culture.

Harbin Ropeway - Following the show, guests can enjoy a Harbin Ropeway ride over the beautiful Songhua River, offering views of the city and Russian town.

Harbin Flood Control Memorial Tower - Guests will walk to the Harbin Flood Control Memorial Tower and continue along the Songhua River.

Stalin Park - Time will be spent in Stalin Park, observing the daily life of local elders and viewing snow sculptures.

Zhongyang Pedestrian Street - This is the largest and longest pedestrian street in Asia. Established in 1898, it was initially called “China Street” and renamed “Central Street” in 1925. Guests can have lunch here at their own expense.

Longta Tower - In the afternoon, guests will visit the Dragon Tower (Longta Tower), which stands 289 meters tall, to view Harbin and participate in activities at Tongta Tower.

Lao DaoWai - The next stop is Laodaowai (Old Harbin Street), which has the largest preserved area of “Chinese Baroque” architecture in China. These historic buildings feature Western exteriors with Chinese-style courtyards, showcasing a unique architectural form.

Zhaolin Park - The final stop is the Harbin Ice Lantern Show at Zhaolin Park, typically open at the beginning of January.

Harbin Ice Lantern Show - This event is held at the same location as Zhaolin Park, where the Ice Lantern Show takes place annually.

Harbin Private tour - Whole trip was Great especially with very nice Tour Guide with us. Our tour guide name is Sera. She is very patient and very helpful in a lot of way. You can ask her to bring u eat local food that only local eat! Perfect!! Would recommend to choose her as ur tour guide if u take this private tour.

BEST TOUR EVER IN HARBIN! - We booked a 3 days tour with Harbin Tour Guide and extended it into 7 days tour. They were excellent in helping us to customize our itinerary. We got to experience so many amazing things. They even helped us to check out hotel locations before booking to make sure it convenient for our stay. They also helped us to rent clothes and bring them to our hotel 2am in the morning after we landed. Sera our guide in Harbin was really helpful and insightful. She also introduced us to local foods, local market that was really interesting. Our experience with Sera was very pleasant. Samantha our guide in Snow Village and Yabuli was equally fantasic, going out of her way to help us have the best experience. Nothing but high praises for this tour company!

Winter Trip in Harbin - We would like to thank Ms Joanna Zhou, our English guide, who provided us with a memorable two and a half days tour visiting the Ice and Snow World and various other popular sights in Harbin. The weather was freezing cold and Joanna made sure we took breaks to warm ourselves up along the way. She also provided us with great insights on the city. Mr Young our driver was equally thoughtful and made sure we had a warm car to hop into every time. Pre trip arrangement with Samantha was efficient and smooth.

Excellent - Samantha went out of her way to answer all the questions I asked. Her English is good. There were many Chinese people waiting online in the cold to enter the parks. Sometimes 2 hours. Samantha stayed with me the entire time. She even got a battery charger when my batteries got low due to the cold temperatures

Amazing Time - We took 3 days tour of Harbin 14 Jan 2021,Harbin ice and snow festival attractions were almost empty. Maybe because the coronavirus was rising cases in Harbin city.We enjoyed the tour with Samantha Song, She was our tour guide, and Our Driver Dr.Yang, They both did great job, the car was disinfected every day, They wore masks all the times, and the car followed us always, Our guide arranged tickets before for us, We went to each attractions very easy and quick, but all attractions needed to scan health codes, It took sometime in the cold, We knew that It made sure visitors all health, We can understand, The whole trip in Harbin was excellent, We were thinking come again When summer time, We will continue to use Harbin Private Tour Guide.

3 Day Harbin City Private Tour - Personalised and fabulous - I am an NZ expat working in China. A UK colleague and I decided to travel to Harbin via Beijing between Christmas 2020 and NY. After looking at a few tour companies we sent Samantha an email query about the 3-day private tour of the main Harbin winter attractions. Samantha responded with a suggested itinerary and after removing a couple of things we didn't want to do, we booked and made a deposit - refundable if COVID-19 prevented travel. Simple as that. On the basis of the great communications alone, we referred Samantha to other colleagues who also booked a private tour with this company. Our tour guide, Joanna, along with driver Mr. Chen were excellent. Joanna knows her stuff and provided wonderful insight into the heritage buildings in the city as well as the tourist sites. She was charming, relaxed, and super flexible. We did not feel we were being rushed or taken to things we didn't want to see and there was plenty of time for photos and coffee/bathroom breaks when we wanted them. There was no standing around waiting for transport - Joanna would call Mr. Chen and he'd be waiting for us the minute we exited a site or building - just what you need when the daily temps head below -25C. The narrow streets make negotiating traffic a little crazy up in Harbin so having a good driver was appreciated. Also, these guys really know the best noodles and dumplings in town so our lunches were superb and good value as well. Communications were easy - Joanna has excellent English and she went above and beyond to give us the best time. On the last day of our tour, our employers contacted us to get a COVID-19 test done before we returned to work (we'd been through Beijing where there were some outbreaks over Christmas). Joanna immediately made a couple of calls and sorted out a nearby hospital for a test the next morning and she made sure we knew how and where to collect the results on the following day. Frankly, having Joanna was a huge advantage. It would have taken us at least half a day to negotiate the local health system without Joanna's guidance. Instead, we were en route to Volga Manor for sightseeing and vodka within 30 minutes of arriving at the clinic. Three days was a good length of time for us. We'd had a good tip to visit Ice City before the lights go on at 4 pm as the sun glinting through the ice sculptures looks spectacular. Joanna got us there by 3 pm. She also made sure we had bought heat packs for our hands - essential unless you are a hardened local - you will see plenty of those. We also put heat packs in our phone/camera pockets so the batteries didn't die. Overall, there is nothing I would change about the tour. It was fabulous, given the extreme weather conditions and the uncertain times. Safety was a priority - everyone wore masks and even though there are very few western tourists in China right now, locals were accomodating and friendly all the way. We did feel rather spoiled having Mr. Chen driving us about and having Joanna sort out the entry tickets and lunch venues, nevermind getting us through the hospital visit without any waiting about. If you have time constraints and want to experience the best of Harbin with ease and at your own pace, a private tour guide and driver is well worth considering. Based on this experience, I'm looking forward to returning to Harbin in Spring to further enjoy the relaxed vibe of this beautiful city.

Samantha Song was a wonderful tour guide for the 3 days We had to explore Harbin, She is so friendly and always made sure We were enjoying places during our visit. 3-Day Harbin City Private Tour - This is higly recommended tour. Given the 3 days, you will have all the must see places at Harbin. Kudos to our tourist guide, Ms. Sera and our driver Mr. Zho. They really took care of us throughout our tour. 💑❤❤❤
