The museum offers a detailed account of Ho Chi Minh’s life. - Huu Tiep Lake and the Downed B-52 - Our next destination is the B-52 Victory Museum in Hanoi, which showcases weapons, images, documents, wreckage, and various items that highlight the ingenuity and creativity of Hanoi’s troops and residents.
- Vietnam Military History Museum - Next, we will visit the Vietnam Military History Museum, which features the wreckage of an American B-52 bomber, an M107 self-propelled gun, and a military tank that breached the gates of Saigon’s Presidential Palace, marking the end of the Vietnam War in 1975.
- B52 Victory Museum - Our following stop is the Hanoi B52 Victory Museum, which chronicles the history of the Vietnam People’s Air Force (VPAF) from its inception in 1954 to the present day.
- Hoa Lo Prison - We will then proceed to Hoa Lo Prison, ironically nicknamed the ‘Hanoi Hilton’ by US prisoners of war (POWs) during the American War. Most exhibits focus on the prison’s use up to the mid-1950s, emphasizing the Vietnamese struggle for independence from France.

Joining us, you will learn more about the nearly 50 years of the Vietnam War, as well as historical triumphs and noteworthy bravery moments in Hanoi. You will be guided by local students to historical sites like Huu Tiep Lake and the Downed B-52, Vietnam Military History Museum, and Hoa Lo Prison in order to experience the pride and spirit of the country. You also can join a workshop to make tire sandals for yourself. By choosing our tour, not only will you have a memorable and personalized experience, but you will also be supporting the education and future of our local students. NOTE: Some museums close at Monday every week. Recommned starting time: • Moring: 9am – 12pm • Afternoon: 2pm – 5pm

A beautiful experience - We were a group of 10 and had Ly and Davis. Thankful for their guide as they were flexible enough to work around our preferences and schedule. It was a beautiful experience as the guides had genuine interest to know more about our culture as well. Without them, we would not be aware of the various museum closing time around lunch time. We also get to visit some less touristy places related to the Vietnam War.

Great tour! - A great experience were we took the war tour around Hanoi. Our guide was the reason we had such a good day! He now’s the history well and we’re very ambitious!

Wonderful morning with Lindy and Heen - We had a wonderful morning with Lindy and her colleague Heen who was learning. We modified the tour a bit as we wanted to finish around lunchtime. It was a fantastic morning and they were both really knowledgeable and explained so much of the history of the Vietnam/ French war and then we learnt about the Vietnam/ American war as there was a lot of information about that also at the end of the tour. There were quite a few Vietnam soldiers at the Hoa Lo prison and when we were outside I asked Lindy if she thought they would mind having a photo. She said no they would be happy to and then spoke to them on our behalf they were so happy that we asked them and we all got photos with them and they were so friendly and welcomed us to Vietnam and wished our family well. Lindy made sure she had answered everything that we wanted to know about the history and it was also lovely to chat with her about her studies and her life. I highly recommend this tour to anyone that is traveling to Hanoi we learnt a lot

Anna is my best Hanoi tour guide - Anna is a local and shared her best knowledge of history and Vietnamese traditions.
Anna Introduced me to Egg Coffee and story behind it.
She is a great bargain hunter when I was choosing new luggage for my trip.Am very greatful to spend two days with Anna: who is also confident motorbike driver.

If you love history, you will love this experience - Hannah met us at our hotel right on time and escorted us around the city for our tour. She was very knowledgeable and passionate for sharing the history of Vietnam. We left Hanoi with amazing new memories and knowledge.

Walking tour. - Our guide was fabulous and knowledgeable . Great experience. Highly recommend using this tour in Hanoi. Our guide also brought us to lunch and coffee spots we would not have known about and taught us about traditional ways to eat local dishes.

Awesome personalised tour - We enjoyed the tour a lot! Shalia took a lot of time for us and adjusted the tour to our interests, even spontaneously, which was really awesome!
We met at 8:30 at our hotel and we needed to withdraw local money (because we just arrived to VN the night before), so she walked shortly with us to the ATM, which didn’t work, so she kindly helped us to find the bank. Afterwards we went to the Vietnam Military History Museum, which just freshly opened in the new building, and Shalia explained us a lot about the history, we learned a lot. We spent there quite some time till noon and went to a nice restaurant afterwards. She helped us with taxis and restaurant she chose was awesome! Afterwards, we went to the Hoa Lo Prison, which was around the corner, and there we learned also a lot of interesting things! Briefly on the way we saw the famous train street and Shalia showed it to us as well because we got curious - it was an amazing experience.
She also answered a lot of our questions about Vietnam in general, which was great!
Of course, if you book this tour, you should pay for the food/entrance for the guide as well, but these are small additional expenses (+ you might want to give tips at the end)
We were glad that we booked this tour! Highly recommended!

Great. - Very nice initiative this cultural exchange with a Vietnamese student! Mai has been fantastic, she knows the history of the city very well and tells it with passion. She was also very flexible and changed the itinerary to suit my interests. Thank you!
