The medina, the spice market and the souk, I had a very nice morning. Thank you to your guide, for this beautiful walk.

Tour to the Medina of Hammamet and the Spice Market of Nabeul - This tour offered a fascinating glimpse into Tunisian culture, with a great balance of history, architecture, and hands-on experience. In the Medina of Hammamet, we were surprised by how much we learned — especially about the doors! Each one told its own story, and by the end, we felt like true experts in medina door symbolism. One of the highlights for us was the pottery workshop in Nabeul. It was incredibly enjoyable to see the traditional techniques and even try them ourselves. It gave us a real appreciation for the craftsmanship behind the ceramics you find all over the region. However, the spice market in Nabeul was a bit of a letdown. We were expecting a bustling array of spice stalls, but instead, much of the market has shifted toward designer clothing and handbags. There were only a few spice vendors, which made that part of the tour feel a little commercialized and not quite what we had hoped for. Despite that, the overall tour was still worthwhile — informative, interactive, and a great way to explore both the historical and artistic sides of Tunisia.

Not amazing but not the worst - Nice air conditioned bus. The tour guide Kamal had good knowledge of the areas we visited. Warned us about the local Tunisian people (men) saying they work at your hotel (they clock it on your wrist band) and not to be lured in by this. It was just me and my 16 year old daughter so this was good to know. The medina was nice and we got some really good buys at one of the shops and the guys there were lovely! We then went to the pottery place, wow this place is amazing! I could’ve spent the afternoon in the shop looking at all the beautiful handmade products there! No haggling as everything is individually priced and VERY reasonable too! We then moved onto Nabeul. Personally, for 2 women on their own i wouldn’t recommend this place, id say it was 75% men and they aren’t afraid to stare, ogle, and make comments as they walk past! It was very intimidating and made us feel very uncomfortable. We found a shady spot away from all the people and as soon as our coach came back we got on it. They say you are very safe in Tunisia, which for the most part we did feel safe but not in Nabeul. I wouldn’t recommend Nabeul for women travelling alone or without a male presence. Just my personal opinion. All in all the tour was a good experience.

Harassed as soon as you arrive, not for me - The second we walked near the entrance we were harassed by every shopkeeper we saw. Some walked out in front of us to try to divert us into their shops. There was less shops there than I imagined there to be, mostly selling the same stuff. Some goods were poorly made, some made in China labels still attached. They shout "no harass" but they do. Fixed price advertised outside some shops had nothing priced inside.

Dont do that!! scam - We booked this tour based on the description, which promised a guided experience through Nabeul and Hammamet, including visits to a pottery workshop, local markets, and the Medina with explanations along the way. In reality, we were simply dropped off in both cities without a guide, no information, and none of the activities mentioned actually took place. This was not a tour – it was just transport. When we asked for a refund, it was immediately denied without justification. The way this is advertised is completely misleading and, frankly, feels like a scam. Very disappointing.

save your money - Sadly this was not as expected. spent very little time in the places. The time going around on the coach was way to long. The trip was taken up more on picking people up and dropping people off. We got back from trip after only having 30 mins free time in one place and 2o mins in the other. Far better to save your money and go by yourself with a taxi. The guide was lovely. However the trip was not at all worth time on the coach and gave very little in return for cost and time spent in the places.
