On small barges, you’ll enter the Speicherstadt (water levels permitting), traverse HafenCity, and then head to the container port and locks. Passing the musical tent and the Elbphilharmonie, you’ll proceed directly to the Landungsbrücken.
With large passenger ships, you’ll explore the entire container port, the Elbe beach, and the fish market, getting an up-close look at the impressive container ships. Cruise ships are a common sight here. We also pass by the “Lion King” musical and the Elbphilharmonie before concluding the journey at the Landungsbrücken.

Line up and an unforgettable harbour cruise - We had spontaneously booked a small harbour tour, with a visit to Speicherstadt, Fleetschlösschen, HafenCity and all the highlights, and did not regret this. Every visit point was perfectly explained, no audio guide frills - live commentary, and this in a very entertaining way by Captain Marco. I would set sail with this skipper at any time, unforgettable moments are pre-programmed - thank you

In fine weather only recommended! - We had a great tour with the paddle wheel steamer! Mandy explained everything great and involved the audience especially the children. All staff were friendly throughout and always had a smile and a brisk saying on their lips.

1 hour tour on The Nellie - We enjoyed our one hour tour on The Nellie via Rainer Abicht tours. Regular low sling boat, but views were excellent. At noon on a Monday, boat was almost empty. Discounted tickets for seniors available…but you have to ask.
Guide and captain was Elias. Great jokes in German, but so fast, it was hard for me to translate from German into English for my husband. Tours with English narration are not available unless you download the app first - and bring headphones.

Great harbour cruise - A very nice trip through the port of Hamburg. Lots of interesting details about buildings, ships and the port itself, packed funny and charming.
The paddle steamer is an imposing phenomenon.

Nice, but could be improved - Nice tour, but only English option is through the App which could’ve had much more information about the sites. Also, should provide link to download App in advance and instructions to bring own headphones because they discourage from playing from your phone.

Good tour, but.... - A tour of the harbour and Speicherstadt. It was interesting and I learned a lot of new things. But the captain tried to be spasmodically funny and slipped partly to the level of the regular table humor of 1970. Rather awkward and a bit annoying

Terrible app for commentary in alternative languages - I booked the trip in English, as the main commentary was, understandably, in German. When we arrived, we were handed a leaflet for an app to download for other languages. Unfortunately, the app was very poor (only has a 1 star rating on the Apple App Store) which meant that we missed out on the opportunity to learn about the sights along the way.

When unkindness gets a name! - Unfriendly and condescending had been served at the counter. Not booked and other providers chosen! Were then at Ehlers and everything was good!

Total for the barrel - Wet pleasure! :-( A harbour cruise is actually always nice. I've never seen anything like this before. After a 1/4 of the trip a boat came towards us and there was not enough distance kept by both. The resulting wave then poured over my partner and me. Which was commented from the front with a "that was cheeky" and furthermore completely ignored. So we sat completely soaked until the end of the ride freezing in our wet clothes. No towel, no word. Just a stupid grin when he saw us disembarking soaking wet. The 30€ per person was for the barrel, at least for us.
