A good way to see the... - A good way to see the most of the city in a limited time. We were on a cruise and had only part of a day to spend.

Nice tour - This was my first visit to Hamburg. I had a friend that lives in Hamburg and one that used to live in Germany with me. I don't speak German very well so I used tour translation. One of my friends used it too but was disappointed that it was not up to date with what the tour guide was saying.

Beware of different bus lines for hop on hop off! - The bus was great with earphones provided by the bus line to listen to English narration. We purchased the triple tour which included a boat tour tour on the Elbe river. The tour narration was only in German with no translation until we remembered we had Google translate which enabled us to read the translation. The lake tour we were told we were too late to participate yesterday as the last boat left at 3:30 pm. We were there about 4:10. They said we could go the next day at 10:30 a. m. There are different lines for the hop on hop off so beware of this as we did Line A yesterday and we're going to use the same ticket as it should have been good for 24 hours. When we boarded the bus today we didn't realize it was Line C which we were required to buy a new ticket.

Good and Bad - The hop on hop off tour was a great way to not only have a bus pass to all the tourist locations (which our ticket was good all weekend) but to also learn a great deal about Hamburg. If you didn't bring your headphones, make sure to ask for some, they have them, so that you can listen in up to 10 or 12 different languages. The harbor tour was horrible, unless you like looking at a bunch of shipping crates. Also, they don't provide headphones, which is a must if you want to hear it in english through the mobile app. We didn't know this so didn't get to hear anything in english.

Nice bus trip but cruises no English commentary . - Bus tour good and driver will issue your tickets . Cruises both nice but no English commentary which was disappointing. Apparently you can download an app for this but I didn’t bring any headphones with me on my cruise so that was pointless information. Wouldn’t have been difficult to give a little commentary as English is spoken very well in Hamburg . Also they do not advise no English given .

Trouble with the sound - The route of the bus-tour was great. But there was very difficult to hear the audio-guide, since the voice of the German guide was on all speakers of the bus. So it was very difficult to hear the messages in the headphones. And the german guide, was saying much more than what was recorded on the audio-guide. The boat-trip on Lake Alster was also great. But hear we also had trouble with the audio guide. The guide could be accessed via the phone, so you had to connect to the wi-fi onboard. The trouble was, that i have an iPhone 8 - And the headphones for the trip does not fit phones without a mini-jack. At this trip also, the german guide was on speakers all over the boat. So if we had listened to the phone without the headset, this would have disturbed for the rest of the passangers. So if you want audio-guide on these trips, and don't understand german, you have to take some precautions.

Timing doesn't work well if you are English speaking - We bought tickets for the hop-on - hop off bus and harbor and lake tour. We were only able to take the bus tour and harbor tour and our bus tour was not in English. They only offered one boat tour in English and one bus tour in English each da and they conflicted with each other, so it was impossible to do both. Neither the bus nor the boat offered headsets, so we were a little lost as to what we were looking at. The German guide on the bus spoke some English and did try to give us a little overview. The tour takes you around the main points of the city, but it is a fair walk from the stops to the main points of interest such as the Church or City Hall. The boat was very nice and extremely comfortable and the harbor is amazing. Overall this was rather disappointing and had I realized the language issues I would not have booked this ticket. The tour description did not indicate that timing or language might be an issue. It would have been fine if we spoke German.

Saw nothing and learned nothing - We did not see or visit anything or any places in this cruise. Staying on the boat and sailed through a channel with nothing to see. Once arrived at the lake, the guide said no more than a few words. No idea what were there both on the lake or on the shore. A total waste of time and money. Totally Frustrated.

No very happy, this is... - No very happy, this is the first time in all the tours that I had done that there are not in English speaking :( main tour guide
