Ajith Safari full day Yala National Park - Hi, we had a fantastic day out with Ajith Safari. Our driver and guide Ishan was wonderful, we saw a leopard, elephants, deer, a mongoose, bears, crocodiles and many types of birds - a highlight of our holiday in Sri Lanka.

Family Safari - Yala - We had a fantastic day at Yala National park with our driver Naja. We have three children aged 13, 11 & 8 and they all loved the experience. We had breakfast and lunch provided which was lovely. Our driver Naja was brilliant and spotted a leopard, he managed to get us in a great spot to watch her crossing the track. We also saw elephants, crocodiles, water buffalo, eagles, monkeys, flamingos, monitor lizards and mongoose. It was a long hot day but so worth it.

Amazing - We had an amazing time on the safari - it was an unbelievable experience and we saw so many animals. Wishwa was an amazing driver / guide and knew so much about the animals.
Although we didn’t see a leopard in the end wishwa tried very hard.
Breakfast and lunch was also very nice - and needed as you have to take lunch between 12-2 anyway!
Something we didn’t know is we had to pay park entrances fees (around £30pp) on top of the fee for the tour so bring cash

Amazing day, with the best driver - It was an amazing day! We also saw some leopards. Our driver Ishan, was very kind and gave us a lot of information about all the animals.

Amazing if your lucky but crazy busy - Yala is crazy. Far too many jeeps are allowed in with many only having 2 people in. Ajith try’s to make sure his jeeps have as many people in. We opted for a full day safari to give the best chances of seeing a leopard as that’s the main reason people come. Most leopard viewing are generally a queue and when you can have 100 jeeps in a queue it’s a waste of time. Dilan our driver was a man on a mission, we covered a huge distance over the day, lots of time being just our jeep. What this meant was if your lucky your first at seeing the leopard. Cause if your not first here your last in the queue. We were lucky! 4 leopards in 1 day. 1 very far away with lots of jeeps around, 1 very close just our jeep, 2 together very close, only 3 jeeps but Dilan really got us in the action for an amazing viewing. The roads are tuff it’s a full on bumpy day, my watch even thought id been walking all day. It’s all about luck and driver skill. Ajith’s wife Sri Lankan breakfast and lunch was AMAZING!

Fantastic safaris! - I had an amazing experience on two safari trips in Sri Lanka, both organized by Ajith Safari Jeep Tours.
In Yala National Park, our guide and driver Ishan made the trip unforgettable. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and ensured we saw plenty of wildlife, including elephants, crocodiles, and many birds. The landscapes were stunning, and everything was well-organized.
In Udawalawe National Park, we got incredibly close to elephants, which was a magical experience. The highlight was a delicious lunch by the river, making the day even more special.
Both safaris were fantastic, and I highly recommend them!

Fun safari! - Dilan was fantastic!
Really good day out - my first safari. I was a bit concerned before going as I’d heard lots of stories of loads of jeeps in the park that move together in a frenzy. At the start it did feel like that, hundreds of jeeps all trying to get past each other to see animals. Because we’d booked the full day our tour guide Dilan was able to dive further into the jungle and we managed to see loads of wildlife.
We saw three leopards (which I think is very unusual), loads of birds, elephants, water buffalo, crocodile, sloth bear and deer.
It was a very fun day out
I think if you are expecting big expanses of land, remember that this is a jungle not the savanna, most of the area is densely packed trees and bushes and you sort of have to hope that animals come out into the track or near water to see them.

Best Safari Experience - Ajith is the best. My first safari with him was 33 !years ago. His service and company have only gotten better over time. As one of the original Safari tours he really knows the National Parks and has shared his knowledge and experience with his growing team.
They a not only quick to find all the big animals we hope to see but all have a trained eye for spotting the smaller ones too.
And he has excellent accomodation with AC and hot water.
