Halong Bay- Heritage site well worth its title (even on cloudy day)… - Booked this trip with WATI during our stay in Hanoi via our excellent hotel staff (‘Anna’ - Grande Collection Hotel & Spa in Hanoi old Quarter). We plumped for the Halong Bay one day trip, which included large boat rides with buffet lunch; time for a swim & or walk about on a beach & kayaking or boat ride (with an oars person) through a cave. With lots of photo opportunities along the way. Started with a pick up direct from the hotel (will pick up & drop off from any district 1 accommodation). Fully air conditioned & comfortable large transit van throughout the trip. Stop offs/toilet breaks included on route to and from site. All staff, every step of the way were polite, professional, very knowledgeable about their city & the Ha long bay site. But always service with a smile. Also could answer any general questions about the excursion. The lunch on ‘Jewels of the Bay’ (large boat) was mainly light food - which included fresh fruit & of plentiful supply, along with adequate amount of bottled water supplied throughout the trip. Although the day was full on, I considered it well worth the whole day & value for money. And wouldn’t hesitate to recommend WATI Travel for this excursion. All round service was excellent. To note re this trip- if decide on a kayak instead of the boat experience. Beware - plenty of phones have been lost from pockets in collisions with other vessels moving about the water particularly in busy times & if not a more competent kayaker.

Worth it! - We enjoyed our trip to Halong Bay with Wati Travel last November 8. Thanks to our excellent tour guide, Circus, who made sure everyone was safe and comfortable throughout the trip and who also provided a lot of interesting tidbits about the place. The tour coordinator constantly kept in touch with us prior to the trip to make sure that we get to meet Circus and our bus driver in our place of stay. The number of people during the trip was also adequate, ensuring that the bus and boat were both spacious during the trip. All in all, this was an excellent daytrip that was bang for buck.
