Best Guide of our Trip - Mori-san was a wonderful guide who made our last two days in Japan memorable. We hiked in Hakone and also visited local attractions. At each point Mori-san had prepared interesting explanations. We had some rainy weather to deal with but Mori-san always had a Plan B. We recommend him highly!

A special day in a beautiful area outside of Tokyo. - We had a great day with Sam touring the Hakone Open Air Museum, the Venetian Glass Museum, and Lake Ashi. It was overcast so we did not get to see Mt. Fuji but the sail on the lake was a lovely experience. Sam was tireless in making all the travel arrangements and guiding us around. We were able to enjoy each location without any time pressure or schedule. He was great company as we spent a lovely day in a beautiful area.

Perfect Day And we saw Mt Fuji - We had a pleasant experience with Midori. She navigated the logistics and also suggested a perfectly timed experience before it got crowded. We saw Mt Fuki in all its glory which we know is not guaranteed. She followed the weather. When the boat got crowded she suggested we consider upgrading to a higher class for a small supplement. She was right. She suggested the Hakone Freepass and she was right. She gave us choices for lunch. As first time visitors Hakone can be intimidating and with the realization we may only get to Hakone once, we booked this tour and was not disappointed. And, we enjoyed learning about our guide Midori, a retired teacher. She can customize your itinerary to your interests. She planned the day perfectly so much that she felt bad we had time left and wanted to introduce more options for us.

Epic memory of Hakone with Hide - My family and I had the most amazing experience with Hide at our Hakone 8 hour private tour. The adventure began by taking the cable carts at Gora leading us to the gondola to see the beautiful greenery of Hakone mountains and then the contrast of the volcanic side. Prior to our departure at the gondola, my two daughters were able to send off postcards from one of the gift shops. Once we arrived at the volcanic side, Hide took us to taste the Hakone black eggs which supposedly give a person seven more years of life. We enjoyed this very much! After learning the chemistry of these volcanic eggs, we then headed towards Lake Aishi on the pirate boat. It was a beautiful day where we got to go up on the deck to see the scenic views of the lake and green backdrop. What we appreciated most with Hide is his attention for detail. He was very accommodating and flexible if we wanted to stop, slow the pace, and most importantly helped my mother in law get a table at a coffee shop while the rest of my family went on a small walk up to the temple. Additionally, he took us to the most delicious restaurant that served such good food and even experienced grating fresh wasabi. We ended the tour by tasting the best matcha shaved ice at the 400 year old tea house. The final tour ended with a peaceful cable cart train ride up while viewing the beautiful greenery of Hakone mountains. It felt as if we were part of nature. Heidi was so polite, friendly, and hospitable. A memory that will last forever. Thank you Hide!

Hakone is worth the trip! - Do not miss Hakone! An easy trip from Tokyo on the the high speed romance car will take you to this beautiful mountain escape where you can experience nature, amazing views, volcanos, temples and gardens away from the city. We had a wonderful day exploring the area with our excellent guide, Yoshi. We took the train from Tokyo the day before our tour and spent time on our own exploring the Hakone Outdoor Museum (do not miss this!) and enjoying the Onsen and dinner at our Ryokan. Yoshi picked us up the next morning with a plan for the perfect day for me and my two adult daughters. The tour took us to the area's popular spots and also a few unique spots that we would not have discovered on our own. We experienced a traditional tea ceremony, ate black eggs, sailed on the pirate ship on lake Ashi, took the ropeway, saw Mt. Fuju, learned about wood crafts, visited amazing gardens and so much more! Yoshi was very knowledgeable about Japan, its history and traditions. He kept the tour well paced and organized in such a way that we were able to see all the sites yet also enjoy some quiet moments, like lunch at a small, out of the way Sushi restaurant which was truly local and served the freshest fish and best sushi of our trip. I feel like we learned and understood so much more about Hakone and Japan by having Yoshi as our guide. He was thoughtful and kind and a great photographer as well. We communicated before the trip and he did a great job planning the perfect day for me and my daughters. I highly recommend you make the time to visit Hakone (stay at least one night) and book Yoshi as your guide for the day.

“Best Hakone Guided Day Trip” - I would like to say that our guide RYUTA Arita was the reason for our rating of 5. He was very knowledgeable and informative about the points of interest and very pleasant. He customized our tour based on our points of interest and most importantly he made sure that we went to the best view points for Mount Fuji. We were fortunate for having a very clear day in July during the rainy season. Also due the very high temperatures 94 degrees he planned our trip to be in the shaded & coolest areas during the hottest times. I would definitely recommend this tour and especially if you could request RYUTA Arita as your guide. Aloha

Great tour of Hakone with free pass - Seky was an amazing guide for us. He did a fantastic job customizing and accommodating our group of 8. He went out of his way to make sure everything was timed and was accommodating to our restaurant request for lunch as well. We had a great time and would recommend Seky to anyone.
