Very fun and a great vibe! - Fantastic tour! So happy I did this, I did the day trip cruise and night kayaking combo and it was a full and fun day! So interesting seeing the fish farm up close, and we spotted brown and black monkeys on the islands!! the water was warm for the bioluminescent plankton at night. Ryan and Luu were fantastic guides with a great vibe!

Fantastic experience - We had a great experience with Viet and Luu from Cat Ba Local. We did both the full day boat and kayaking tour, as well as night kayaking. Both times we were with a small group of people which allowed us to really enjoy the nature. Both trips were operated like clockwork, and were very organised. The local guides were knowledgeable and incredibly friendly. The food served on the boat was fantastic, and catered very well to vegetarians. If you have any doubts about the plankton tour, it’s well worth the trip. We were told to pick a day with a dark sky (I.e clouds) for the best experience. They picked us up from and dropped us off ant our hotel which makes it very easy. We would highly recommend Cat Ba Local.

Great day/night trip! Highly recommend 🧡 - The day/night cruise trips were great! Very relaxing for the day cruise and speechless for the night kayaking as we saw the bioluminescent plankton and the luminescent jellyfish. It was incredible. A long day though so if you have time I would recommend to do 1 day for the day cruise and the next day the night trip or vis versa. Our guides were super nice and helpful but I particularly loved Ryan’s energy and his English was mind blowing as he never left Vietnam, apparently. I had a great time the entire time and the views were amazing. Not many people on the boat with us and only 2-3 other cruises boats where we were stopping so it doesn’t feel super touristy and quite preserved. And the food was also great! I highly recommend Cat Ba Local 👌🏼

One of the best experiences in my life - This tour is spectacular. For two days we lived an unforgettable experience. Our guides Viet, Ryan and Luu were amazing. Very attentive and able to make you feel the love for their island and their environment. The activities were amazing. The boat ride, the kayak ride, the swimming through illuminating seaweed, the hike through the national park, sleeping in the bay on a houseboat... it's incredible. 100% recommended Cat Ba Local and their guides. The best choice

Stunning Lan Ha Bay tour 🔆 - We did the whole day trip.ob the very comfortable boat of the local owner. No big conpany and not a full boat. The trip was amazing, the guide very nice guy (thanks Luu🤎) and the trip was well organized with picking up service, nice food ib Board and the kayak tour was a lot of fun. 100% recommendation. The combines tour means 2times kayaking, we loved it!

Memorable experience - What made me most satisfied during the trip was having a very enthusiastic tour guide, Quan Hung, who always interacted with guests throughout the trip. If I have the opportunity to come back, I want him to continue to be the tour guide for the group. mine

You have to do this tour! - We absolutely loved everything about it! My partner and I did the 2 day 1 night tour with catbalocal. We got picked up from our hotel and were able to leave our luggage at their office. The boat had the perfect size, we were 16 people and it was a great group size. Our guide for the daytrip was Ryan and he spoke perfect English and was really cool. We spend the day kayaking, visiting a fishing house on the water, we were able to swim with the non-stingy jellyfish and stopped in a beautiful bay where we were able to jump from the boat. It was so much fun and we loved it. Lunch was also amazing and suitable for vegetarians and vegans. The nature in Lan Ha bay is just stunning! After that, my partner and I switched boats to do the plankton tour while the other guests went back to cat ba and everything was so well organized. Our guide for the plankton tour was Luffi and he was also incredibly nice. He even took his camera gear and took great pictures of us and the group. The kayaking with the bioluminescent plankton was incredible!!! We couldn’t capture it on camera but it felt magical. We could even go swim in the dark water and glow. After that, we went to the floating homestay for the night where we had a room to ourselves. It was beautiful and lovely! We had a good sleep and breakfast was included as well which was lovely. The guides were always in contact with us, telling us when we had to leave and what we were going to do. We loved that we didn’t had to organise or worry at all. At 9 in the morning we got picked up again for our daytour from Rio. He was super fun and took us cycling to the Village, then trekking to the Navy Peak. We really recommend doing that as you will have a stunning view over the bay with the iconic rock formations. The hike was not too easy but definitely doable! We could take breaks whenever wherever we wanted as it was only us and Rio. He was so nice to carry our water the whole trek. After that we went to have lunch and could even do a fish massage. He totally adapted to our wishes so we took a longer break at the lunch spot. Then we went to another small hike and it was so cool, we would have never found this place without him. We cycled back and had a super scenic boatstour on a small boat back. We even stopped at the floating homestay on the way back because we forgot our swimsuits there. They made sure we had everything and were happy all the time. Honestly we could not recommend this tour enough! It was the absolute highlight for us and we would do it again. Thank you so much for the great Organisation Drake! And to all our tourguides. It was perfect.

Best tour for Cat Ba! Absolutely MUST DO - This was the best tour! We did the 2 day 1 night tour with catbalocal and absolutely loved it! Everything was so well organised, the tour guides were incredibly nice and speak such good English, the food was amazing, the nature is insane, they take you places you would otherwise never see or visit. We can not recommend it enough. Special thanks to Ryan, Luffi and Rio. The only negative thing was that the tour had to end. It truly was amazing!

Night Kayak - The activity I participated in was night canoeing. We were very lucky to see the glowing plankton, but it was a pity that the camera could not capture it. Thank you to our excellent tour guide Hoang for making everyone feel comfortable and safe, and more importantly The sisters I met along the way were very interesting and friendly. I hope we can meet again soon!
