Good excursion with a few swaps on the drive - We were picked up by Shehan on time in the morning. He was very friendly and tried to show us details of the country on the drive. The safari was great, although unfortunately we were not so lucky to see many elephants. Afterwards we went to the Dambulla Temple, which was also an experience. In itself it was a great trip and you saw what was promised online. However, it is important to warn: You are let out by the driver at various shops where you can (should) buy something. For example, we were let out at a clothing store for traditional Sri Lankan clothing. Immediately after we left the car, a lady came and showed us around the shop and offered us different clothes and more or less urged us to buy something. You also had to tell the driver several times that you don’t want to stop anywhere, but want to go to your destination. He did the same, but it was a bit annoying on the third try.
