Ha Giang - 8:30 am: The tour begins at the homestay, or the Ha Giang Jeep team will pick up participants at the hotel or any designated meeting point in Ha Giang City.
On the first day, participants will notice a significant change in the scenery as the Open Air Jeep navigates the mountain roads. The journey starts with a drive up Pac Sum Pass. A stop at Bac Sum Slope offers a chance to enjoy the view of the vast valley and the spectacular landscape. The journey continues up to Heaven Gate, which is over 1,300 meters above sea level.
Tam Son - From the viewpoint, participants can see Quan Ba Town and the Twin Mountains from Heaven Gate. The jeep driver will then take them to visit Nam Dam, a clay house village where 100% of the Dao ethnic minority reside. In Nam Dam, participants will learn about the local culture and the architecture of their clay-built houses. The visit lasts around 2.5 hours, including a walk around the village. Local food can be enjoyed in Quan Ba.
After lunch, the tour continues with rides up and down to see the amazing valleys and villages. Participants will get an overview of the spectacular mountains, offering a unique perspective when joining the Authentic Ha Giang tour.
Yen Minh - The journey proceeds to Lung Tam Village, where the team visits a family engaged in handicraft and weaving. The drive continues to Yen Minh for an overnight stay. On the way, the route passes many back roads, offering views of the most spectacular landscapes and some hidden villages. A stop at the loop top road provides an overview of the valley before arriving at Yen Minh Town for a homestay.
Yen Minh - Tham Ma Slope – H’mong King Palace - Lung Cu Flag Pole - Dong Van Town
Lung Cu Flag Tower - After breakfast, the excursion resumes with a drive to Tham Ma Slope, featuring a 9-step road, perfect for capturing amazing pictures. The journey continues to Sung La Village, rich in history and stories. An important stop is the Lung Cu Flag Pole, marking the border area between Vietnam and China. The views from the flag pole are splendid. A visit to Lo Lo Chai Village follows, home to a small group of Lo Lo ethnic minorities. Their traditional clay houses are noteworthy, and lunch is served at a local restaurant.
Dong Van - Post-lunch, the drive leads to Dong Van Town, with a stop at the Vuong family residence, known as the “H’mong King Palace.” The day concludes with a homestay and dinner in Dong Van Town.
Dong Van Town - Volunteer Youth Monument - Ma Pi Leng Pass – Nho Que River Overview - Meo Vac – Du Gia Village
Ma Pi Leng Pass - After breakfast, the tour departs Dong Van Town. The Open Air Jeep takes participants to the most beautiful part of the journey, located on the Happiness Road connecting Dong Van and Meo Vac. Ma Pi Leng Pass is renowned for its craggy cliffs and breathtaking views, often called the “king” of Vietnam’s passes. The road winds through cliffs, reaching an altitude of 2,000 meters.
To showcase the pass’s full beauty, the tour rides down the breathtaking Sky Path to admire the valley and Nho Que River. Participants can capture unforgettable pictures from the peak of the pass, feeling overwhelmed by the majestic mountains and rivers.
Ma Pi Leng Pass - After visiting Ma Pi Leng Pass, the drive continues through Meo Vac Town. If it’s market day, a stop at Meo Vac Market is included. The jeep continues through stunning views of valley villages, stopping at the M Road to see the amazing slope resembling an M. The journey proceeds to Mau Due, a small town for lunch.
Du Gia - Post-lunch, the journey continues to more remote villages. Participants will learn about life in Vietnam’s remote areas, driving through Lung Ho, Mau Due, and Meo Vac, with a pit stop for lunch and drinks. From Meo Vac Town, the tour continues through Ha Giang Province’s mountainous trail roads to Du Gia Village, known for its amazing landscape and diverse ethnic minorities. The night is spent at a homestay with a Tay Minority Family, enjoying dinner and “happy water” with the family.
Du Gia Village – Du Gia Waterfall – Duong Thuong Valley – Thai An Road - Bac Me - Ha Giang City – Hanoi
Ha Giang Province - After breakfast, the tour explores the hidden Du Gia Waterfall. Bidding farewell to the homestay host, the journey continues, offering amazing experiences of nature and landscapes. The road back to Ha Giang is taken, but attractions continue with crossings through Duong Thuong Valley and Thai An Road. After crossing Sky Gate, the tour returns to Yen Minh. Following an adventurous ride, the tour concludes in Ha Giang by around 3 pm.
