Swaminarayan Akshardham - In the early evening, visit Delhi’s largest temple, Akshardham (closed on Mondays), built in 2005, which is stunningly opulent. Artisans employed ancient techniques to carve the pale red sandstone into intricate reliefs, featuring 20,000 deities, saints, and mythical creatures. The centerpiece is a 3-meter-high gold statue of Bhagwan Shri Swaminarayan, surrounded by more intricately detailed carvings. As the sun sets, witness The Sahaj Anand Water Show, a mesmerizing 24-minute presentation that combines various captivating media to bring a story from the Kena Upanishad to life. Multi-color lasers, video projections, underwater flames, water jets, and surround sound, in harmony with lights and live actors, create an engaging and inspiring experience.
Delhi Sightseeing & Drive to Agra (3-4 Hours Drive)
Humayun’s Tomb - After breakfast, check out from the hotel and visit Humayun’s Tomb (a UNESCO World Heritage site), the tomb of Mughal Emperor Humayun in Delhi. The arched facade is adorned with bands of white marble and red sandstone, and the building adheres to strict Islamic geometric principles, emphasizing the number eight.
Qutub Minar - Visit Qutub Minar (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), an unmissable, towering Afghan-style victory tower and minaret, erected by Sultan Qutb-ud-din in 1193 to assert his dominance over the defeated Hindu rulers of Qila Rai Pithora.
Lotus Temple - Designed for peaceful worship, Delhi’s beautiful Lotus Temple (closed on Mondays) offers a rare oasis of calm in the bustling city. Shaped like a lotus flower, it features 27 delicate white-marble petals. The temple was created to unite different faiths; visitors are welcome to pray or meditate silently according to their beliefs.
India Gate - This impressive 42-meter-high stone memorial arch, designed by Lutyens in 1921, honors approximately 90,000 Indian army soldiers who perished in WWI, the Northwest Frontier operations, and the 1919 Anglo-Afghan War.
Parliament House - This circular, colonnaded building, designed by Edwin Lutyens and Herbert Baker, was the site of the 1947 transfer of power from Britain to the newly independent India, and parliament still convenes here.
Rashtrapati Bhavan - Rashtrapati Bhavan, or the President’s House, is the official residence of the President of India. Formerly the home of the British Viceroy, the President’s House boasts 340 rooms and 2.5 kilometers of corridors, offering a fascinating glimpse inside.
Friday Mosque (Jama Masjid) - A serene enclave amidst Old Delhi’s chaos, the capital’s largest mosque is built on a 10-meter elevation, towering above the surrounding commotion. It can accommodate an astounding 25,000 people. The marble and red-sandstone structure, also known as the ‘Friday Mosque’, was Shah Jahan’s final architectural masterpiece, constructed between 1644 and 1658.
Chandni Chowk - Chandni Chowk, or the Moonlight Square, is one of the busiest markets in old Delhi. The highlight of the tour is an exhilarating bicycle rickshaw ride through the bustling and colorful streets of Chandni Chowk (Silver Street).
Raj Ghat - On the banks of the Yamuna River, this tranquil, well-maintained park features a simple black-marble platform marking the spot where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated following his assassination in 1948.
Agra - After exploring Delhi, drive for 3 hours via expressway to the City of the Taj Mahal - Agra. Upon arrival in Agra, check in to the hotel.
Agra Sightseeing
Taj Mahal - At sunrise, visit the Taj Mahal (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), widely regarded as the most beautiful building in the world. Built by Shah Jahan as a memorial for his third wife, Mumtaz Mahal, who died giving birth to their 14th child in 1631, it is a masterpiece of white marble and semi-precious stones – undoubtedly the highlight of the tour. Note: The Taj Mahal is closed to tourists every Friday, so if the scheduled visit falls on a Friday, guests will visit the Taj Mahal at sunrise the next day and alternatively visit the “Baby Taj” on this day.
Agra Fort - In the afternoon, visit Agra Fort (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), a historic fort along the Yamuna River in Agra. It served as the main residence of the Mughal Dynasty emperors until 1638 and is one of the finest Mughal forts in India.
Mehtab Bagh - In the evening, proceed to a Photo Tour of the Taj Mahal from Mehtab Bagh — the moonlit garden — believed to have been designed by Shah Jahan to view the Taj on moonlit nights, away from the crowds. The garden complex is situated on the left bank of the Yamuna opposite the Taj Mahal. It is a large square measuring approximately 300x300 meters and is aligned with the Taj Mahal. The forestry plantations and agricultural fields provide a green forecourt to the Taj Mahal and its reflection in the Yamuna. Here, guests can witness the sunset over the Taj Mahal.
Agra - Abhaneri (Chand Baori) - Jaipur (4-5 Hours Drive)
Chand Baori (Stepwell) - After breakfast, check out from the Agra hotel and drive to the Pink City of Jaipur. En route to Jaipur, visit Abhaneri, a small town known for its remarkable ‘Baoris’ (step wells) and Harshat Mata Temple. Chand Baori is one of Rajasthan’s most spectacular step-wells, believed to have been built by King Chand, a local Rajput ruler, in the 10th century.
Jaipur - After visiting Chand Baori step-well, continue the drive to Jaipur. Upon arrival in Jaipur, check in to the hotel.

Amber Palace - After breakfast, visit Amber Fort - The magnificent, imposing, honey-hued fort of Amber (pronounced ‘amer’), a stunning example of Rajput architecture, rises from a rocky mountainside about 11 kilometers northeast of Jaipur, and is the city’s must-see attraction. It comprises an extensive palace complex, built from pale yellow and pink sandstone, and white marble, and is divided into four main sections, each with its own courtyard.
Jal Mahal - Photo Stop at Jal Mahal (Water Palace) - Near the cenotaphs of the maharanis of Jaipur and beautifully situated in the watery expanse of Man Sagar, is this dreamlike palace. Its origins are uncertain, but it was believed to have been extensively restored if not built by Jai Singh II (1734).
Hawa Mahal - Palace of Wind - Photo Stop at Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) - Jaipur’s most distinctive landmark is an extraordinary pink-painted delicately honeycombed hive that rises a dizzying five stories. It was constructed in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh to enable ladies of the royal household to watch the life and processions of the city.
City Palace of Jaipur - The City Palace is the residence of the royal family. A complex of courtyards, gardens, and buildings. There are palace buildings from different eras, some dating from the early 20th century. It is a striking blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture.
Jantar Mantar - Jaipur - Jantar Mantar Observatory (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) - is a collection of curving geometric buildings that are carefully calibrated to monitor the movement of the stars and planets.
Monkey Temple - Galtaji Temple (The Abode of Monkeys) - One of the popular tourist spots in Jaipur, also known as Monkey Temple, is famous for its complex structure. It has three sacred pools of water and is surrounded by two granite cliffs. Visitors can often see many monkeys bathing in these pools.
Birla Mandir Temple - Birla Mandir in Jaipur is notable for its intricate latticework in white marble. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu (one of the Trinity of GODS and preserver of the universe), and attending the evening arti (puja) is a memorable experience.
