- Impression Sanjie Liu - The breathtaking landscape along the Li River to the south of Yangshuo serves as the world’s largest natural stage for the renowned Liu San Jie Impression Light Show in Yangshuo. The Li-river itself becomes the performance area, with a dozen illuminated karst peaks providing a dramatic natural curtain. The spectacle is the brainchild of Zhang Yi Mou, the acclaimed director and choreographer of the 2008 Beijing Olympics opening ceremony and notable films such as Raise the Red Lantern. Yangshuo’s inaugural light show took place in 2004 and now includes over 600 local performers, predominantly from the Zhuang ethnic group, comprising farmers, fishermen, and young women. They all participate in a unique performance that varies with the changing conditions of mist, rain, and moonlight that naturally transform the stage’s ambiance.
Our guide will register your name and await your arrival at the show’s ticket office. Please ensure you arrive between 18:30 and 19:10 pm. Upon meeting, our guide will provide you with your ticket, allowing you to enter and relish the performance.

The show was exciting and... - The show was exciting and unique. The VIP seat was comfortable. However the information provided wasn’t clear. The starting time on the ticket was 8pm, but it started at 7:30pm.

Fabulous light and sound show - Fabulous night show on the banks of the Li River, where, with more than 600 local actors and figurants, among the spectacular karst hills of the area, unfolds with excellent music, and wonderful choreography, a spectacle evocative of a bucolic way of life and as a chant in defense of Nature and man with that environment, all based on history, mythology and a reality of life that unfortunately is disappearing. It is a chant to those minority people, those beautiful lands and that connection of Man with said Nature. It lasts just over an hour, and is a must if you are going to Yangshuo.

Beautiful show, but... - The show is very beautiful but:
1- The public around was more interested on talking between them, playing with kids or talking on the phone. They are not respectful with their own culture. Security should control a bit the silence to enjoy the show, the parts where groups sing without speakers were difficult to hear, losing completely the magic of the show. Five minutes before ending, rivers of people were leaving the place to get a taxi, so we hardly saw the final act due to the people walking in front of us to the exit. We could avoid this offering better access to the place or free transfer to town.
2- There's a little screen with english explanations about the story, but it is too low, only if we stand up we were able to read over the heads and phones. We didn't understand the story.
